We can not say enough good things about this company. A small family business that is run by the father, who is extremely knowledgeable and responsive day and night, with the roofing done by his two sons and their crew. We started out wanting our garage roof done due to hail damage. They came and inspected the roof and took pictures to submit to insurance. Then they went up on the slate roof of our historic farm house on their own and discovered and documented the hail damage on the original slate roof. They then contacted our insurance company and submitted the documentation and our replacement

Their price was way better than some of the other estimates that I received, and they were by far the most appealing choice. J&M will be our roofer for as long as we live in this area. Our 110 year old, very steep third floor slate roof needed significant attention. Leaking at the hips with many missing and broken tiles. Everyone else told us to do a full replacement. This highly experienced roofing family gave us a great alternative without a complete replacement saving us $12k. They communicated with us in a timely manner every step of the way. They did the work while we were out of town with family. No plants were harmed (we have 35 year old climbing roses). I have been using J&M Roofing exclusively since 2010. They have done everything from small patches to major replacement involving shingle, rubber and slate for my all my rental properties. Greg is responsive and the quotes are reasonable. They show up when scheduled, update me while working, finish the job to completion and thoroughly clean up all while providing before, during and after photos. Having to hire a slate roofer in the Allentown area (rather than relying on our old one in another area) turned out to be a re-education about the difficulty of finding a reputable and responsive roofer.

In all, I made five phone calls to try to line up estimates on having slates replaced. Two never bothered to return the call. One called back 3-4 days later. Another called back 2 days later. (That guy, the Coplay, not Bensalem Romano, said he "doesn't do" estimates on slate replacements.) Just one called back that very day, and boy, did we luck out - J & M Roofing.
