From the owners to the crews this business is very professional and friendly. They are very knowledgeable of what they do. They answer all questions we had involving the installation. I highly recommend them to anyone. The crew who installed our insulation did a wonderful job covering up items to prevent damage. Cleaning up like they were never… there.
Our home had the floor joists between the basement and main level of home done. After the installation the house temperature according to our indoor thermometer raised 2 degrees. The basement is nice and warm as well. Amazing product and company

We had great experience working with John and his team. John was very professional when he came to give us the quote, many good advice. Vicky was helping with the schedule and she is really thoughtful. One point because my other contractors' problem, I have to talk to Vicky to move the dates. She was quick response and very helpful. The workers worked really hard and the job is done very well. They tapped everything nicely before the job. 2019:
So my son's house needed insulation during his remodel. Contacted John and got him to drop by for an estimate. I would have to be done in two stages. We discussed some issues in the basement and how to do it properly. talked it over with the inspector later and it was great advice.
He came back twice, once for the basement and once for the attic after the roofing was done as at my house.
Competitive price, great team, great owner.
Answer to would I hire them in the future is a resounding, YES!

I highly recommend SCI. John and his crew were here this week to spray our carport soffit and exterior sidewalls. We live is a townhome, so our the exterior walls are right up against our cranky neighbor's deck. John came out in advance to talk to us and our neighbor to ensure we were comfortable with his process. Then day of, the crew took such great care with their work. They even covered our sidewalls in plastic knowing our GC wouldn't be back to clad the walls for a couple weeks. Including helpful interactions with Vicky, working with SCI was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Thanks

Had John and his crew do the roof deck on my East Liberty house. His team was punctual, professional, and did a great job. Totally worth it vs. other insulation options when my time was factored in. John was knowledgeable and easy to work with. Excellent price as well.

John is one of the most technically proficient spray foam applicators I have met in a long time. I have sprayed for 10 years and travel the country extensively for Premium Spray Products and John's knowledge base, experience and attention to details is second to none. If I was building a house in Pittsburgh, Steel City Insulation would be spraying the foam.
