When it comes to your safety, we promise to deliver a clear and concise inspection report. We have been thoroughly inspecting chimneys for over 20 years. Countless hours have been spent analyzing different variables and figuring out the best options that suit your individual needs. After an inspection from top to bottom, we provide you with a detailed verbal explanation and a written estimate.
Lint build-up can cause reduced airflow, which in turn causes overheating. When this happens the high temperature limit safety switch cycles on and off. Most switches weren't designed to cycle on and off continuously which can cause them to fail. The Consumer Products Safety Commission estimates that there are an estimated annual 15,500 fires, 10 deaths and 310 injuries associated with clothes dryers.

American Chimney did a terrific job of cleaning our chimney and installing new fireplace equipment. They were professional and on time, even early when possible. Excellent service! Guys spent all day (7 hours) cleaning a very large 3000 sq ft home HVAC duct system and dryer vent. Home was built in 1988 and the cleaning maintenance on the ducts and dryer vents was never done in 23 years. Home used to house 6 people with 3 dogs and 3 cats, so you can imagine the dust, dander, pollen, lint, etc. that was built… up on the inside of the duct system. So grateful for the fresh air, finally we can breathe! After our whole family living in this house together on lockdown for over a year because of COVID pandemic and our entire family suffering from asthma

I live in Manhattan Village and have had squirrels inside my walls and in the chimney surround three times in three years.
American Chimney Sweep came today to scope the chimney for signs of damage and any wildlife. The HOA was involved because they had to address gaps in the chimney top on the roof.
American Chimney was able to inform the HOA as to the appropriate code-compliant material to use. They fully scoped the chimney area from the roof and inside the home. They also inspected the fireplace itself and will be coming out to repair it as the gas line was faulty and the panel were damaged

The technician took pictures to help me know what was going wrong. I also had them clean out my dryer vent. I need more work down and I trust their judgment.
However, they never came back to complete the work they showed me in the pictures of what my chimney needed. I even called back to ask them to complete the work. They just dropped me. Now I have to find someone else to work on the chimney.
