When Eileen Zimmerman was just twelve years old, her love for fabrics and sewing began with her first sewing project in Home Economics. She received her degree in Fashion Merchandising from Kent State University.
Think of "swags" as "swoops" of fabric going across the top of the window. They are folded or gathered in a semi circular shape and are mounted on a rod or a fabric covered board. Typically there are cascades (also called jabots) at the sides. The cascades can be pleated or gathered and are angle cut on the lower edge.
A semicircular window that is usually placed above a rectangular window. The arch can be presented in many different forms: It can have straight sides, be a quarter of a circle, or it can be elongated or eyebrow shaped. Sometimes there are rectangular windows on either side that do not have arches above them.
