Calabrese Plumbing has been my "go-to" plumber for years, and I can always count on them to do the job quickly, expertly, and usually for less than I thought (feared) it would cost.
Most recently, Ben and Cory came to our townhouse on June 28 to replace our Delta pull out kitchen faucet head (i.e. "wand assembly") and attached water hose. Over time, the old rubber hose (which was about ten years old) had deteriorated and the rubber particles clogged up the faucet head, requiring a replacement to get a normal flow. I called Calabrese Plumbing, as I needed a new hot water heater. George Calabrese was out of town at the time of my call, but FaceTimed with me to look at the equipment and see what was needed. I also had the issue of the existing gas hot water heater having been placed where it was difficult to reach my emergency shutoff. George was beyond wonderful and told me that they would do everything in their power to solve my problem. Today Ben and Cory installed my new water heater, moving it to give me total access to my main shut off and my outside hose bib shutoff. They went out of their way to resolve

George arrived as expected and quickly determined that the water spot on my kitchen ceiling was not from the second floor shower above the kitchen, but from multiple pin hole leaks in a copper pipe above the ceiling. George replaced the section of pipe with the leaks and my problem was solved (of course I have to get the ceiling patched and painted...George doesn't do that). I highly recommend George Calabrese.

George and his team at Calabrese plumbing did a great job and saved me from a tight spot. A leak sprung from my manifold on a Friday. When I first called they were fully booked so I called another company to “patch” the leak until George could come and replace the manifold. The other company broke it and made the leak worse. I called George to let him know and he quickly made arrangements to get to me ASAP.
He does high quality work that he takes great pride in. He goes above and beyond because of the pride he takes in his work. Without me even asking, he fixed some other plumbing issues and

I have availed myself of Calabrese Plumbing's services three times in the last couple of years (most recently last week) and each time the experience was exceptional. They always recommend the best materials and parts (tip, take their advice, twice I called them in to replace inferior parts and installation from a different plumber), and the service is always professional and courteous.

I called Calabrese Plumbing on a Saturday after having a pipe burst under my sink. George answered my call. Unfortunately for me, he was on vacation. However, he asked if he could FaceTime me to look at the problem. He looked at problem, diagnosed it and then proceeded to give me 3 recommendations of other plumbers he recommended in the area since he was not able to do the work himself. Even though I ended up not using him, you can bet if I have ever have another need for plumbing, he will be the first person I call. Thanks again!

I first used George a few months ago, to replace an exterior faucet that had frozen and split, along with several smaller jobs. I got three estimates for the set of jobs. My previous plumber had said the exterior facet could not be replaced without removing and then replacing some heating system ductwork in the basement. One of the three new estimates disagreed, but instead suggested removing the basement ceiling in that area, which would have required hiring both a carpenter and electrician. I've used George a number of times and have always been very pleased with his service. This past week, however, stood out. I got a panicked call from my son that the shower handle had sheared off and the shower was running. I had them turn off the house water and got home about 7pm to look at it. The thing was actually broken, so I called George. George was at dinner with his wife and fully booked for the following day. He asked to look at the situation via facetime and then told me what to do in order to fix it myself. I went to home depot, got the part he told me to and installed it

I have been in my present house for 20 years, and I regret that I've only met George recently. It would have saved me countless hours of headaches and inferior service. I had a large leak that George worked with me OVER THE PHONE at 530 AM to help me investigate, stop the Leak and restore service to my house. Everything the Mylene, Jane, and Charlie posted is true. After his first visit I knew he'd be my go-to guy for plumbing until I move away or he retires, whichever comes first.
He's replaced my pressure regulating valve (a very reasonable cost, just like for Charlie), replaced my sump pump when it died (left the place cleaner than when he arrived), and fixed a couple small items along the way, often not charging for a quick visit between other jobs. Try to find THAT with any other plumbing outfit here in NoVa!

George (the proprietor and sole employee) of Calabrese was great. I had a leaking pressure regulating valve, and he provided a very reasonable cost estimate (for Northern VA, at least) for replacing it. He showed up on time, was courteous and clear about what he was going to do, and completed the work in a very timely manner. I would not hesitate to call Calabrese again.
