The Steamers is a scam. They were hired to clean my air vents and immediately said they couldn't because of heavy mold. They proceeded to clean 1 vent and pretended to clean my dryer vent then tried to charge me more than the whole home vent cleaning. The picture I attached is what my dryer vent looked like right after they left. I called and emailed to sort this out and no response. They wanted to charge me almost $3k for all new vents. I had a real HVAC company do this for $1400. These people are the worst.

Big time bait and switch. I responded to a Facebook post that made it sound like a local company to support. I asked what company was performing the work, and they sent me a TrustPilot review for a totally different company than the one that arrived at our door a couple days later. They also -- in writing -- said the company would clean our dryer vent for the agreed upon price (by the way, after I hedged a bit, they instantly came down $50).

Please do you research on proper air duct cleaning. This is a bait and switch operation. I did not do my due diligence and regretted what i had just done. If it's too good to be true its not! There are way better companies that use way better technology to clean your ducts. The $159 package coupon I got on my door sounded great. 700$ later is what they left with. Again my fault for not researching. All they use is a cheap shop vac and a drill with a brush that only gets like 12 ft into your duct. They tear your plenum box apart and reseal. I dont even want to know how bad my ducts

BUYER BEWARE! BAIT AND SWITCH! They quote $89...they charged me $770! I didn't know this until they had left. AND THEY DIDN'T CLEAN MY VENT OUT! They didn't take off the flexible silver dryer tube and clean that out. They didn't turn on the dryer to even see if it was working. I called a dryer repairman put the next day, he removed the tune, and water poured out because the vent was still clogged.

I called again for my free warranty checkup and once again the appointment was cancelled. Between scheduling my first appointment and the warranty checkup with this company (2 appointments) there have been a total of four cancelled appointments now. Not a reliable company. I think that it is funny that the response to my initial review says that they did not cancel my appointment but offered an alternative date. It's the same thing worded differently, no matter how the company wants to state their unreliability, I have now had to be at my house 5 times for a 3 hour window for them to show

I needed the dryer vent cleaned after getting a new dryer. They told me it was $89 over the phone. Two guys get here they tell me that its compacted and they have to use a drill and wire brush. This is an "advanced" cleaning that cost $400. I figured they must need to do something special for an extra $300+ it cant be just the wire brush because that's how you normally clean a dryer vent. They run the brush three times and vacuum up all the lint. That's it. I ask if they need to check outside to see if its clear, they said no. I ask what the $89 dollar one was, they tell me

I would NOT recommend The Steamers. My husband and I bought a home for the first time. I wanted to make sure the house was cleaned inside and out as much as possible. The Steamers came in and told us that we had a TERRIBLE mold problem. There was mold throughout ALL of our ducts, vents and in a compartment in our attic. They quoted us $1,861 to get it all out. Thankfully my husband called for a second opinion with Lone Star Air Ducts & Chimney. Yes, we do have mold, but it is only in a little area and he told us not to worry. It only costing us $248 to get it all cleaned.

Long story short. The two employees came over and used their lint cleaning tool inside. It's something the scraps the edges and tries to grab as much lint as possible. To my surprise, they took out a ton of lint from the inside, even though the air has been flowing fine!
I pointed them when they showed up that I mostly care about a nest/few branches in the pipe (outside) that I can spot. They said no pb. And they

April 23, 2020 my a/c began leaking on my ceiling.
Today I had an a/c repairman come out to tell me that the pipe was clogged.
How I ask. I just had it thoroughly cleaned by The Steamers exactly two months ago.

Called this company based on their coupon in valu-pak. Coupon said "Full AC Inspection and Complete Air Duct Package; Only $95". Called to make the appointment. When asked if I had 1 or 2 AC units I was told that since I had 2, they would have to add an additional $149!! I explained what my coupon said and she acted like she couldn't find one to verify. She kept saying that it only applies to one furnace, which the coupon doesn't even mention the word "furnace" at all. I couldn't have had a better experience. They provided the service within the window of time that was promised. David called me a half hour before heading to my place, which I appreciated. They did a great job cleaning my ducts. My home was built in 1960 and the ducts had obviously never been cleaned. Ben and his technician arrived on time at the scheduled appointment and thoroughly explained the process to me. They inspected every duct and showed me pictures of the dust and debris buildup. Technician LOUIE is a SCAMMER. Called for basic A/C duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning, on a coupon advertised in a mailer. LOUIE arrived and went up to inspect the furnace. Came back down and tried to convince me our system was infested with black mold. He showed me pictures and pressured me into immediately spending $1500 to clean the system. These guys did a great job cleaning our ducts, attic unit and plenum boxes. We bought a severely neglected home with seventeen years of buildup in the system and they made it look (and smell) like new. We also had a similar experience of a different named company showing up than expected, but they provided more service for less money than another quote we got, so I really don't care what they're called!
I also love that after giving us a quote, the tech suggested that even if we use someone else to please get our system cleaned soon for the sake of our toddler's health.
