Before - This wood burning stove was elevated on 16 inch high hearth which made TV high for viewing. We demolished and lower firebox floor and install new gas unit at floor level. After photo shows an updated gas inserts with used brown travertin and candeliber mantel. Also, with projectible arm bracket that allows TV to be seen in the kitchen and patio, wired with 5 speakers and two cabinets with Blue Ray Disc and storage for media devices.

We hired Browning Masonry to reface our fireplace in our Danville home.
Let me start off by saying that we could not have had a more perfect experience all around.
Jay knew exactly what I wanted for our stone refacing and what needed to be done to get us the fireplace we wanted.
We had a floor to ceiling brick facing that required him to completely remove all the brick, put up sheet rock, and reface it in stone along with a new hearth. This was all done seamlessly. We later had Jay come back to convert our fireplace from wood burning to gas.

We chose Browning Masonry to do the fireplace job in our home, and now we have a beautiful piece of art in our family room that we enjoy every day!
The job, which entailed removing the original (lava rock.. yuck) fireplace, dry wall repair, and building out a new floor to ceiling stacked stone fireplace took 6 days, and since I work from home, I got to watch a true Master Mason at work. Jay, with his many years of experience, helped us to through the entire process, soup to nuts, so we could make informed decisions about what we wanted, and then he went about his business quickly and efficiently

We highly recommend Browning Masonry. The owner, Jay, is an outstanding and very professioanl contractor, desiner and artist with brick, block and stone. We have had him work on multiple project at our home and garden in Pleasant Hill.
Jay's knowledge and expertise with all types of masonay and fireplaces was truly comforting and impressive. The design and finished fireplace makes the house a home, the brick entry and patios are each a work of art. His work draws the attention of every visitor that comes to our home.

His work Is like a large car careening down the interstate, striking other cars as well as the guard rails. He gets where he wants to be but he destroys any enjoyment that you may have gotten. He is dirty, leaves unqualified messes and claims that it is your responsibility to clean up. His mistakes are pedantric, he ordered the wrong size insert and shrugged his shoulders when I asked for it to be presentable. I ended up working with the stove manufacturer who made the correct decisions. He also refuses to give me my clearance papers from the city as he is too busy. Three weeks, to busy.
