Nearly Native Nursery is a specialty nursery that promotes, sells, and propagates native plants for all types of landscapes. We offer a wide variety of native plant life not found in your typical garden center. Native plants offer a tough, versatile and beautiful alternative with lower maintenance to the imported, more exotic general nursery stock.
Native plants are more suitable to local water, soil and pest conditions. Many of these native plants also provide food for beautiful songbirds as well as hosts for many species of butterflies and moths. Once established, native plants can tough out drought and water restrictions that many other plants are unable to tolerate.
There is always a native alternative to an exotic plant, and many times, the native species will be a much more interesting and spectacular specimen. Specific site requirements, such as low, soggy ground, or steep, dry slopes can become beautiful focal points with the right native plants in place.

This was by far the best and most unique nursery experience I’ve ever had!! Jim took us on a garden tour and was so knowledgeable. He even helped me solve issues with some of the natives I’m already growing. I found some rare natives on my wish list and filled my car with as much as it would hold. I can’t wait to go back again! I feel like I made new friends; both plant, human, and avian.

One of my very favorite native plant nurseries! Knowledgeable and personable hosts, including Buster Buddy, of course. A wide assortment of native plants. Best of all, you can see the plants as they will look when grown into your landscape.From the large beautiful mature Liriodendron tulipifera to the bright orange Asclepias tuberosa covered with… busily chomping monarch caterpillars, the garden is a magical place to roam. We visited the nursery for the first time over Labor Day weekend, and had a great experience! Jim is a wonderful source of plant wisdom and helped us pick out several species for our new property. We'll be back in a few weeks for more! Highly recommend coming out here - the drive is beautiful, the site is lovely, and the staff are very patient with beginners like us. :)
