John's Septic Service is a family owned and operated business serving Harford County, Cecil County and Baltimore County since 1969. It all began when the first John Call started the business with little more than a 1957 Dodge 1 ton truck equipped with a homemade, 1000 gallon steel tank, and enough integrity and old-fashioned work ethic to fill it up, many times over.

We design and install completely new septic systems for new construction, or to replace a failing septic system. You can count on us for quality work and integrity throughout the process. We provide grease trap cleaning and grease tank pumping for our commercial clients throughout the Baltimore metro area.

Septic Haulers, also known as Honey Dippers because our earlier haulers dipped barrels into outdoor toilets to empty them, are now Ministers of Muck. A 4th generation of the family now helps operate John's Septic Service with gleaming new equipment that offsets the dirty image of old. Named Ministers of Muck by the local Harford County newspaper and nicknamed Honest John's by our constituents, we are proud to provide a much needed service.
Services
John's Septic Service has been performing septic tank pumping since 1969. We know our stuff. We utilize modern, sanitary equipment and we take every precaution to protect your property. Each large capacity pump truck is equipped with 200 feet of hose, allowing us to park away from the drainfield and away from your home during the septic tank pumping process.
John's Septic Service performs septic repair on septic systems throughout Harford County, Cecil County and Baltimore County. Replacing a septic system is expensive, and septic repair can help prolong the life of your system. It might be something as simple as replacing a filter, valve or pump. Do not flush materials (sanitary napkins, applicators, cigarette butts and so on) other than domestic wastewater.
John recommends grease trap cleaning and pumping of grease tanks regularly to prevent Fat, Oil and Grease (FOG) from mixing with the water that is discharged to the sewer system. A regular schedule of grease tank pumping is necessary to prevent improper operation of the grease interceptor or grease trap.

We have used their service since 1999. They always take care not to damage the lawn. Recently we had a blockage on a Sunday, but our plumber could not make it till Monday. I called John to ask for a pump out, expecting to leave a message. I was surprised when he answered the phone on a Sunday evening. They could’ve come the next day, and charged double the regular fee, and would’ve been happy to pay. But after I explained the problem, he helped me over the phone. He walked me through a few steps, and I was able to clear the blockage that night. I wasn’t even charged, and they saved me the

Wonderful service from start to finish. I called them on a holiday weekend with a house full of company and no working toilets. They arrived within 70 mins of my call. Other companies have yet to return my frantic emergency messages even as I write this. John and Kyle were professional, knowledgeable and prompt.
