Easterwood Architects Studio has provided civic, commercial and residential clients with personalized, quality planning and architectural services. Principal of the firm, Brax Easterwood AIA, LEED AP, believes that a successful project stems from a close, collaborative partnership between the architect, project team, and the client.
With over 19 years of experience in the construction, architecture and urban planning fields, Easterwood Architects Studio offers a unique understanding of how to accomplish any project across all levels of completion. We treat every project as a potential benefactor to a sustainable environment, the local economy, and our community.
While clients contact us to bring quality design to projects, they also always receive the thoughtful consideration of larger things, such as the coastal environment, history, and site specific and contextual opportunities. We believe in the enormous potential Galveston has to offer, and seek to enhance that through the services we offer.

Was referred to Brax by a trusted Galveston, TX friend who used to have his own construction company. Though our project was quite modest (adding about 200 sf to a 1902 raised Queen-Anne Cottage with only 986 initial sf) Brax gave my wife and me all of the attention-to-detail we could have hoped for. He personally represented us at the Landmark Commission (needed since we are in a registered historic district) and met personally with the engineer. We could not have made a better choice to meet our need and are thrilled with the outcome.

I am an engineer that works with Brax and his team. They understand construction, the historical districts' regulations, the plans they produce are thorough and detailed, and most importantly their clients have always been happy with their work and availability to coordinate the projects. The photo below is an old bank building Brax and his team converted into a residence - it was a very fun project.

Worst experience with an architect ever. Brax stated he had a flat fee of $600 for a set of floorplans and code analysis. He stated that if the City needed anything else, he would be happy to provide. The City rejected the materials provided by Brax due to rookie mistakes, such as mislabelings and fire code violations within the provided plans. Brax said he would correct. Four months later and a slew of unanswered phone calls and text messages, still no results. Carr Construction attempted to contact Brax for an update and was told he was too busy to correct his mistakes. BEWARE OF THIS
