Even though winters in Florida are fairly mild, occasionally the temperature dips low enough that you need your heating system to operate efficiently. Heat pumps work in a different way in winter than they do in the summer. If your bill is suddenly high in the winter, your heat pump may be using auxiliary heating when it doesn't need to.
It's important to have your heat pump on a Maintenance plan with service at least every year. Inspect electric terminals, and, if necessary, clean and tighten connections, and apply non conductive coating. Verify correct electric control, making sure that heating is locked out when the thermostat calls for cooling and vice versa.
It is a great relief for me to have found Scott and Lance after having dealt with basically incompetent A/C servicemen for over 10 years. I had an issue with my AC and saw this company working in the neighborhood so called them hoping they could come over. Sure enough they were here within the hour, repaired my AC, did additional cleaning for me and gave me a great price. I couldn't ask for anything more. I will definitely use again in the future and refer him.

I called around 430 pm (this isnt the 1st time ive called late) I didnt expect a return call till morning. They called back promptly and tried to troubleshoot over the phone which was amazing. I sent a text message to company after 7 pm (about possible problem) and still didnt expect to hear back. This company called me at almost 9pm to get further info to fix our AC next day and get parts. I am amazed. Honestly customer service is amazing. I feel bad to bother them at such a late hour and didnt expect such a prompt reply. I will never use another AC company. We have been using them years now and

Couldn't ask for better service. Completely satisfied with the installation of my heating & a/c system, good quality equipment. Scott is a great person to deal with, awesome customer service with really good prices. Took time to walk me through everything that was being installed and made sure I was completely satisfied after it was done. Scott is absolutely amazing! He talked me through everything he was doing during my AC repair and taught me some things I could do to keep my AC unit running more efficiently (I've had work done before from other companies and no one told me these tips). I have a heat pump that was so noisy that I had trouble sleeping when it was on. Two different techs (from big companies) had looked at it and could not diagnose the problem other than to recommend an entire new unit. I had not heard of Niehaus when I ran across them in an online search and saw that they consisted of just 2 experienced techs and had great reviews so I set up an appointment (which to my amazement was for the next day). Lance came out and diagnosed and solved the problem for me. He was polite and efficient and obviously very knowledgeable. The service charge was extremely reasonable
