Don't waste your time with this company if you want your pool resurfaced or remodeled. They rarely answer their phone.
My wife called multiple pool resurfacing companies and received a good response and reasonable price from Don to mini pebble our pool and make some repairs. We decided to go with the Pool Dictor to do the work. My wife called to sign a contract and get on the schedule, but Lori said they don't do contracts and we'd be on the schedule for February (quote in August) with 20 jobs ahead of us. No contracts is a bit unusual but we were ok. January arrived and my wife

We called the SD Pool dr based on reviews. They promptly returned our call and gave us a free estimate for a simple pool remodel/update. Their pricing was competitive. And they also provide ideas and work around budgets to give you what you're looking for. I thought that was great because while other companies tried to upsell, The Pool Dr listened and put the customer first rather than profit.

The owner's reply to my previous review is untrue. I never told his office it was a remodel. He didn't tell me he couldn't do it, he told me he didn't know and he'd get back to me. When I called the office after a week, they didn't tell me anything about a remodel, they said he was working on it. All he had to do was return my call, especially after I said in my message, I understood, if he couldn't do the work, I just had a question. He took the time to respond to my review, but he couldn't take the time to call me back.

Don came out today for a consult and I was very impressed. We have a pool that the previous owners built about 4 or 5 years ago so we don't need to a new build or a re-build but we wanted to add some water features to the pool. The spa jets were also not therapeutic at all and so we wanted to have the jets redone. Don, made a few adjustments and in seconds we had therapeutic jets on the spot! I was thrilled! Thank you Don for fixing our hot tub issue on the house! As for the water feature additions, Don was very honest about the fact that due to the location of the pool vs. the pool equipment

We recently had our pool completed by Don Wall (and Patric, his project manager) in March 2021. This process was long for us (about 8 months) due to covid set-backs with ordering our slide and having rocks built around our pool (both of these were no fault of Don's & out of his control). This is an unusual review since we ended up not using Don Wall, the Pool Doctor, but only have great things to say about him. Our pool had a severe crack where the elevated spa connects to the pool. Our first thought was to remove the existing spa and put a new one at pool level. Don came out and had some great ideas to convert the existing spa into a firepit instead of removing it and to fiberglass line our pebbltec surfaced pool. After getting bids from several companies, we chose The Pool Doctor for our pool remodel earlier this year. From bid to completion it was a first class experience. The owner, Don, was responsive and helpful as we worked through the different choices of materials during the bid process. His price was competitive and he stuck to it. This was the best 'contractor' experience we have ever had... and we have had many, good and bad. Don was on point, efficient,on time and friendly. He gave us a quote and stuck to it. Don - the Pool Doctor was referred to us by a very reliable source for our pool replastering and re-tiling. Don made the process easy - from estimating to scheduling to demolition and replastering/tiling. The work was done very professionally, quickly, the workmanship is outstanding and the pool looks like new. Don and Patric (project manager) were very patient with my need to understand the process and learning the ins and outs of what to do (and not do) during the process of tile installation, grouting, plastering, refilling the pool, etc. I definitely recommend the Pool Doctor.

I cannot say enough positive things about this company, but rather than talk about "a company" I will talk about the guy who owns it. From the moment Don Wall walks up to you to introduce himself, you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he's the one you want to hire. Don has that special direct-eye-contact-customer-service-thing that convinces you that he is honest. He also actually pauses to hear you out. Yes, he listens AND hears what you say. We are extremely happy that we chose The Pool Doctor for our pool remodeling project. I chose 3 vendors that were recommended by others and had good Yelp reviews. Owner Don Wall was very honest, straight forward and explained all the price options. He also listened and provided a quote for what I felt we wanted, nothing more or less. I did not experience that with the other options we had. The project manager and other workers were responsive of any questions/ concerns we shared. We paid less than we anticipated based on all the quotes and the pool looks amazing! We couldn't be happier!

My husband and I decided this is the year we would remodel our existing pool (pebble tec finish, tiles and coping) as well as add additional waterscape features and a slide for my 8 year old son. I called and left a message and Lori returned my call. I spoke with Lori and scheduled an appointment. Building a pool is an extremely risky and expensive project that most people prefer to avoid due to either shoddy workmanship, budget overages or builder incompetency/fraud. On referral for a pool artificial rock remodel, I contacted The Pool Doctor, Don Wall. In talking through his secretary (and hearing him talk in the background), Don did not want to work on an artificial rock repair project. A+++. Beautiful work; phenomenal. A beyond-our-expectations transformation/resuscitation of an early 70's pool that had missing tiles, aging plaster, and cracked concrete. This was a job that other companies had run away from when we'd tried to deal with it a few years prior. Don and his team did amazing stuff in the most professional manner. That included walking us thru the options for project scope, finish, and tile selection. And all at a price that was under what we'd expected.
