Echoing what so many other reviews note, the friendliness, attention to detail, and consultative nature of IM Contracting makes for an all-around enjoyable renovation experience. Their job was turning my dark, musty, "murder" basement into a functional laundry room, play room, bathroom, and storage. As it was a dank space that had been covered in piles of old storage containers for the better part of 30 years, lots of challenges were uncovered once all the walls came out, but the team handled them easily and kept me informed every step of the way. We're very happy with our experience working with I.M. Contracting. Our project was addition of a 10x10 mudroom/functional space onto the existing structure. The project included all facets of construction of the addition (foundation, framing, roof, siding, drywall, etc); relocation of existing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC plus addition of new utilities; tile floor installation; cabinet and countertop installation; custom shelf fabrication.

Ian and his team were superb. The quality of the work was exceptional down to every little detail. What I really appreciated was the ingenuity to make things better. For example, we had these incredible glass barn doors that were very unstable and they crafted solution to make them slide with ease. They take great pride in prepping the working area to protect your house and then leave it better than they found it. The team is very open and communicates throughout the project especially if there are any changes. Ian is transparent about the billing and I absolutely got the quality for the price

We were fortunate enough to discover I.M. Contracting, and hired them for our master bath/closet/bedroom renovation. The attention to detail, workmanship, and even the relationship with Ian and the two guys who oversaw our project, Jack and Cody, far exceeded our expectations. The work we have done with them includes conversion of an unfinished portion of our basement into a media room with kitchenette as well as a stucco renovation on the outside of our house. After getting several bids for a basement renovation we contracted with Ian's firm and could not be more pleased. We wanted to do a nice upgrade to this part of the house but keep on the budget that was originally outlined. The basement is not a focal point of the property but was in need of upgrade. We just completed our master bath remodel using I.M. Contracting, Ltd. Ian, the owner, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and made the process from listening to my design ideas and drafting the contract to making the selections at various local provider's shops go quite smoothly. He was respectful of my budget, but he also knew when a little overage would be money well spent. The craftsmen employed to do the work showed up on time and were skilled, polite and took great care to protect the furnishings/rugs and to keep dirt and dust to a minimum. We hired I.M. Contracting for our basement remodel. It was great to work with their team of professionals and see our project come to life. They were extremely upfront and transparent in regards to cost and timing.
