The gears in our garage door opener broke and husband diagnosed it, because he's replaced them a few times in the 20 years we've had the house. This time, we were leaving on vacay in a few days and had a long list of errands, so he couldn't fit the task in and said he was too damn old to do it anyway!
I turned to Yelp reviews and used Yelp to get 3 quotes. Two vendors wanted to replace the whole motor which costs 3x more. But at this shop, the owner Ken immediately replied with a 2 quotes - one for the gears only and another for the motor, if it turned out to need that.

Owner operated business... Both our door tensioning wires became unraveled due to the garage door being obstructed over the thanksgiving weekend. (See picture) Door doctor came out and rehung the door, tensioned the spring to the correct tension, and some other minor adjustments. A true professional with no upsell. Would happily do business with Door doctor again!

I called Wednesday And Jason was here in a couple hours assess the situation on the door not opening and we decided to put in a new motor so today Friday same week we have a new motor I'm so sorry I don't remember the name of the young man that came to install the motor but they were both so polite and professional I can't believe we're all the new things that this motor can do it's like a whole new world for garage doors this is the second time I've called the garage door doctor over the years and I'm just as pleased now as I was the first time I called I would

Unfortunately, one of the springs on our garage door broke. I didn't want to wait too long and put continued strain on the rest of the system. I shopped around and got several quotes before deciding to go with The Garage Door Doctor. I really can't say enough about how quick and responsive they were with my questions. I was having was i thought was a major garage door meltdown but thanks to them it turned out to be a very simple electrical issue. I called, the next morning they arrived ahead of schedule so I could get on with my day, and five minutes later, my nonexistent problem was resolved. They didn't even charge me but if something happens to my precious garage door in the future, these are my go to guys. Super honest and very kind. Thank you!

I WISH I could give them more than 5 stars. I had a previous quote for an INSANE amount to fix my garage door. I called the garage door doctor and explained the situation. They listened, and were able to have someone come out to take a look the very next day. The issue I was having was fixed by Arturo with just tightening 2 loose bolts. Arturo was professional, informative, and just all around a nice guy. If you are needing any garage maintenance, replacement, or repairs YOU WILL NOT regret going with this company. Just WONDERFUL . I really can not praise them enough.

I received multiple bids for new garage doors and The Garage Door Doctor came back in the middle. Even though they weren't the lowest price, their bid included the garage door opener with the extra power source. Apparently it's a new law, but the Garage Door Doctor was the only company that was actually insisting on following the law. I picked them wanting to business with a company that had integrity and followed the law. (I think it's a stupid law, but it's still a law.)

Rick is courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I asked him to train me on how to manually open my garage door in case of power outage. He was happy to instruct me at no extra charge. He is in the business of building customer relationships. He is trustworthy and honest and I would call him if there is any problem with my garage door. I highly recommend him.

Ken (owner) responded to my request really quickly and before I knew it Eric was out here diagnosing the issue. Our garage door opener was over 20 years old and finally stopped working. Eric was able to quickly assess what we needed for a replacement and answered all our questions. Arturo came out to do the install a day or two later and did an excellent job. Arturo communicated the whole process to us, made some recommendations to maintain the new garage door openers, and threw in an external keypad last minute as well. Truly one of the best companies I've worked with in a while - honest

Such quick and efficient service. I messaged them on yelp and they responded within minutes. We quickly set up an appt for the next day. This company is great . The first time Arturo came out there was no charge just a adjustment for FREE! He said that your motor is old a could give out in 3 weeks or a year. Well one month later it gave out. I called him on Monday a holiday and told him . Next morning at 9.AM he was right on time installed a new motor and accessories. He explained everything and did a perfect job. I checked out a lot of garage door companies they came out first . Don't hesitate to use them and don't waste your money on anyone else.

Broken garage door spring earlier today and couldn't open the door. I called the Garage Door Doctor up and they had somebody out here a few hours later. The repairman was super courteous and fixed the door with 2 new springs in about an hour. I used the Garage Door Doctor a few months back when they installed a brand new Lift Master garage door opener which has been great. I highly recommend this firm and will use them whenever necessary.

Don’t even waste your time with other garage door service providers! I had major problems with garage door. I had several providers come out…they all had different solutions at unreasonable prices! Garage Door Doc sent Tony. Prompt , courteous, professional. Fixed my problem in less than an hour and at a very reasonable price! I highly recommend this company!

There's nothing like GREAT customer service and let me tell you that this company has got it down. First off, Eric came out and installed a new motor and new spring which looked and worked great. A little while after. The garage door wasn't working well--the Garage Door team worked me through emergency trouble shooting right away and sent Eric back to fix it a day or two later. Eric went above and beyond to fix the issue and everything is working great. Support companies like this one, they are doing it right. Thank you for a great experience!
