All of our Technicians are NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certified, which means they have passed exams on what they need to know to effectively service and install todays sophisticated HVAC systems. Technicians take continuing education courses as apprentices and journeymen to stay current with the policies that are required by the Dept. of Labor and Industries.
Farwest Climate Control offers air conditioners from 13 to 20 SEER Communicating ratings. A SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is a measure of efficiency for air conditioners, they are like miles per gallon in cars-the higher the rating, the more energy efficient and the more money you save. All of our systems satisfy or exceed minimum government SEER standards.
No matter what the weather or the season, the temperature deep within the earth remains constant. Geothermal heating and cooling systems tap into the even, steady temperatures underground to regulate your home's indoor comfort. The ultra-efficient systems use less energy, allowing you to save on your heating and cooling energy usage and potentially lower your home's carbon footprint.
At Farwest Climate Control we carry efficient and reliable American Standard heat pumps that are ranked a winner in consumer rating magazines. Heat pumps do the job of an air conditioner and a furnace. However, unlike a furnace, it doesn't burn fuel to make heat. A heat pump uses electricity to move heat from one place to another.
Years ago, the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service at Louisiana State University teamed up with Gulf States Power to identify what benefits if any were provided by an air conditioning tune-up. A series of homes were heavily instrumented, data was collected over time, tune-ups were performed, and data was collected again.

We have been under contract annual maintenance agreement with Farwest, Inc since we bought this home in 2015. We are very satisfied with the company and the service technicians who come and make our semi-annual service calls. The techs are very well trained and friendly and personable. We have complete trust in their knowledge and training in the service of our HVAC unit which was installed in 2008.

Hired this company to replace my furnace and cooling system. Everything was great until they called to tell me that another job was not happening due to problems with supplies for that job not being ready, and they asked if they could start on my install a day early. I thought that was fine and would work, but they ended up not being able to finish at my house on the same day due to a problem with not having supplies ready. I received several quotes to replace my air conditioning unit and keep my heater, Farwest was by far the best value. Everyone I communicated with were professional, responsive and performed excellent work and customer service. Our old water heater died and flooded the garage on Dec 30. We called Farwest at 9am, and they had a service person out to evaluate the situation within two hours. They gave a fair estimate and had a new water heater installed within 24 hours. We are most grateful for their quick and helpful service.

I called Farwest Climate Control today to schedule a service on my gas fireplace. It wasn't an emergency, and I told them that, but they had an opening today. Eric came out and cleaned my gas fireplace. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and explained everything he was doing. Now, I am confident that my fireplace is working safely and correctly.

I had a whole new air conditioning and heat pump installed. They recommended the perfect setup and everything old was removed, and everything new installed in 2 days. They were as professional as I ever could have asked for and even wore shoe covers to keep our floors clean. I also had them install a gas fireplace last fall. I recommend highly this company for any of your heating/cooling needs.

Called this morning hoping to get an appointment to fix furnace that was kicking off & had gotten as low as 55*. I don’t remember for the life of me the gal that I talked to from the office, but she was awesome & had Jose out to our home less than an hour after our conversation.
