My business partner and I had the pleasure of working with John and his team on a full renovation: we converted an almost 200 year old building into a production brewery and taproom. They guided us through the entire renovation process, and offered unique and creative solutions to whatever problems we threw at them.
John and his team also helped us find a fantastic GC, and we couldn't be happier with the space that they designed for us. Hiring us will save you money! Yes, you are paying us for lines and words on paper, but you are also paying us for our expertise and creativity.
Rather than a 'one-size-fits-all' or 'cookie-cutter' approach so sadly common in the building industry, we look for both short and long term, project-specific, money-saving opportunities at every turn.Just about any building project involves some level of regulatory oversight. Depending on the project, this will include varying degrees of zoning, sanitation, inland wetlands, flood, accessibility, and building and fire code compliance.

As part of our basic architectural services, we utilize 3D computer modeling software to bring our projects to life both inside and out. An age-old dilemma for architects and designers is how to effectively communicate the proposed design to the client. In years past, architects would hand draw 3D illustrations or watercolor perspectives or build scale models out of various materials.
The Best of Houzz Customer Service honors are based on several factors, including the number and quality of client reviews a professional received in 2016. John R. Schroeder, AIA, gave us our dream kitchen. They worked with us during the design phase of the renovation and they incorporated all of the features we wanted and advised us on new and exciting ideas. They were careful to keep our budget in mind and walked us through each phase of the kitchen renovation. Creative, clever and always practical, we now have a truly functional kitchen that is timeless and beautiful.

We worked with John Schroeder AIA on three phases of the remodel of our 1959-vintage beach house. First was a major addition of garage and master bedroom as well as a gut, redesign and installation of a master bath suite, living room and modern kitchen. Second was to finish our basement creating a bedroom, exercise room, and living area/man cave. Third was the installation of a portico and new dutch door at the main entry to our home.
John took the time to fully understand our requirements and aesthetics. He worked within our budget, always trying to get the most out of each dollar we spent. His
