I would definitely look for other options before you use this company. The entire experience was a brutal from start to finish. Ordered Solatubes to be installed. Estimator came out and spent no more than 4 - 5 minutes surveying the job. Ended up that we wanted 3 Solatubes and he said no problem, but when he actually went in to the attic on installation day, he told me that could not install the third. That's right, the estimator is the installer.

I made a purchase the other day 4/12/21 of a Green Mountain BBQ. While looking at the floor model a sign laying on the grate describing what the price was and what was included with the purchase, a BBQ cover was included. After I assembled the BBQ There was no cover. I called the store they told me that I needed to purchase the cover. Be careful when u buy something from this store they don’t stand by there advertising.

Purchased a new wood burning 42 Apex Timberline face stove from Sierra Hearth and Home with installation included. The whole process was delightful. Salespeople were friendly and educated us on the best wood stove for our situation. Whole process was very efficient from sales crew, to install crew, to the final install including a test fire with Moses teaching my wife and I all the intricacies of our new purchase. There are few fireplace distributors here in Northern Nevada but I got bids from them all. Sierra Hearth and Home was the most cordial, professional, and had the best price to do a complete wood to gas fireplace conversion. They always showed up on time, did what they said they would do and now that the cold weather has hit, we are enjoying the toasty warmth of this beautiful new fireplace. I couldn’t be more pleased!

These guys are great. In January, they installed a wood stove which we are very happy with. This week, Brandon installed a Solatube in a dark hallway, which brightened it up immensely. He did the job by himself in two hours and charged us less than the estimate.

We purchased a Gas Fireplace Insert from them in the Summer and started using it this Fall. Yesterday it started acting funny in that the flame would not stay continuously lit, and would eventually go out. I called the store, and spoke with Kristin, who told me she was the manager. I explained my problem, and she said they could not make it out until February! I got quite upset with that, but she would not budge. Finally, I asked for the owner's name and number, and all she would volunteer was his first name, Larry. She said she would have him call, but he has not, which tells me something

I rate their service as excellent! Our technician David Cruz showed up on time and ready to go to work diagnosing and servicing two gas fireplaces. He was knowledgeable about the work, courteous, and answered all of our questions. We feel confident in his work, and feel that the charge for services was reasonable.

David came to our rescue when our gas fireplace would no longer stay lit. He checked it out and told us what parts we needed. Once we ordered those he came back to install them for us. He was very informative and had just the best personality!! The price was reasonable as well!!

Since my original pellet stove insert purchase in 2005 I have had 5 or 6 instances in which I contacted the retailer for service issues. Two of those were for parts and the rest for service.
Yes, I too, found them difficult to deal with, ie not returning my phone calls or a possible charge for Not sealing the original fireplace opening which should have been done at the install.
Additionally, when I interact with the retailer I repeatedly feel that I am disturbing them or taking up their time but my search for an igniter on 12/03/18 was more than I expected.

We are in the middle of remodeling a condo in Sparks and are looking to install a fireplace insert. We had heard of Fireplace Distributors in Reno, but a friend told us about Sierra Hearth & Stone and that it would be worth the trip to Carson to take a look at their shop and speak with the people there, and it was! They were so very helpful and answered all of our questions. They gave us a ton of brochures and listed all of the options

I wish I could give this company zero stars. We purchased a pellet stove from them about 7-8 years ago. My father always did the maintenance on it, but passed away this last summer. My mother needed to get the stove working for the winter and called in October for a service visit. They came in mid-November. So, it had already been a few weeks and with Nevada's climate, this meant winter had already arrived. The person who came out, Dan, said he needed to order some parts and would call her when they came in. Weeks past and she had not heard anything. Finally, 6 weeks from the initial call

Overall not a good experience. The owners could really care less about you as a customer. They don't try at all to help you out with your needs. Appointments are weeks out wrong parts get ordered slow on call backs. Asked them to give me a store credit for a part I ordered to put towards a BRAND NEW STOVE and was told NO they would not do that. So guess what we bought a BRAND NEW $2,500 Stove and it was NOT from them. Will not do business there again.

Installation was good, people were friendly, got a good gas fireplace. Price was reasonable. My problem was that they took my credit card over the phone for $800.00 then they double billed my credit card. When I found out I called them and they admitted the problem and then they were to return the money to my bank but they never did. I called the business manager a number of times without ever getting my money back; this was four years ago.

I bought a fireplace from this amazing store. Although it took a little bit of time to get I understand that they are very busy, and have a lot of customers. Overall I was very happy with my product. The staff were great and knowledgeable. The showroom was beautiful and helped me decided exactly what product I wanted. Larry was great in getting me estimates and pricing. I have had three occasions to use this store; first, I contacted them to service my Valor gas fireplace, but they couldn't seem to communicate well enough to get a technician to call me back in a timely fashion. Then, when they did call, the technician scheduled the service call a week later and then called to cancel due to inclement weather. So I had a local person fix it - it need a new thermal coupler. This is an update to my earlier post. Our fireplace has emitted a strong odor since it was installed. We called Sierra Hearth and Home several times and they told us that it was the Jypsum (SP?) board that surrounds the fireplace and the glue from the board emits an odor. It did not make sense, as this is a strong smell and does not smell like glue or wood. We did not use this fireplace much over the first few years, due to the strong smell, especially at start up. We purchased our pellet stove three years ago from sierra heath and home. had them service it for the first two years. this year tried to get service twice. took time off work to accommodate their schedule and they cancelled both times. our auger motor went out and they "ordered" it o a thursday. told us it would be in the next thursday. well the next thursday it had not even shipped. they said it was on back order. from previous experience, when you order something don't you know it is on back order??!! we had to get our money back and get it from Reno , who had them in stock! Recently I called another company because my Hunter vertiglider for my sliding
Glass door was not working right .
I forget they do Hunter Douglas so I called another reputable company in Carson City.
The repair,am came out and looked at it and said he would have to order the small,part and that his fee was $65.00 an hour and it would take about 2 hours I never heard from him again rhm I called Sierra Hearth and they came out same day.
It was a simple fix and took about 15
They were wonderful and our fireplace is beautiful.

I have bought two stoves from this store one in 2004 and another in 2005. The price and the eventual service calls have been the best for me. Odessa has always been great to deal with. She is accommodating and courteous. When I needed parts in the middle of last winter, Dan ( Technician) worked around my busy schedule got our stoves back on.
