My name is TJ Taylor. I started working for my dad when I was twelve, but even before that I was watching him work all the time. My grandpa was a mechanic, woodworker, he refinished furniture and was proficient at general carpentry work. My dad and I picked up new trades like hardwood floor refinishing, tile, drywall, and general remodeling and expanded our business.
I have over 20 years experience refinishing and installing hardwood floors in Lexington, and central KY. Refinishing your hardwood floors is one the best value adds to real estate as well as really bringing a space to life. I have restored 100 year old floors with layers upon layers of paint and age back to new again.

TJ did a fantastic job bringing these 70 year old oak floors back to brand new condition. I had to replace 150sqft in the kitchen and a few other small patches throughout the house. He provided me the material and I did the install since I am a carpenter by trade. We chose a darker stain, and TJ did an amazing jog getting the new and old floor to blend together. It’s nearly impossible to see the transition spots. Even the area around the old fireplace came out great. He has a eye for detail, and made sure the deep scratches and stains were attended to.

We recently had TJ work on our entire first floor. He refinished the floors in our kitchen, dining room and foyer, then installed new white oak in our living and family rooms. It all looks great! The old hardwood matches the new in color and finish. He even completed the work a day ahead of schedule. The pricing was very reasonable and his workmanship was excellent. He is friendly and easy going. We would recommend TJ to anyone.

Absolutely terrific! Beautiful work! I hired WoodHaven Renovation to refinish floors throughout an estate house and to install new hardwood flooring in one room. As I live out of state, I was not there in person to monitor the work. The owner was completely trustworthy, honest, reliable, dependable, and reasonably priced, and the work that he did was fantastic. Highly recommend.

TJ did a great job building corner bench seating in our kitchen. He showed up on time, got the job done promptly, kept his work area clean, acted professionally and was respectful of our home. His pricing was reasonable and we are pleased with the quality of his work. Would definitely hire him again if we have other similar projects come up.

TJ DID FANTASTIC WORK! He refinished and stained my hardwood floors, installed new flush mount wood vents, patched out and spliced in a spot where a pet stain was. You can't even tell there was ever a stain now! He installed new baseboard in my bedroom that the dog had chewed the corner on. He was easy to work with. Clean. He even fixed a door that swinging open driving me crazy, and didn't charge me to do it! Im going to hire him back to install some tile in my bathroom in a few months. I highly recommend this contractor!

WoodHaven installed an oak staircase for me, installed raw hardwood in my living room tying into the kitchen. He tested the floors with a neat chemistry thing to make sure the wood would match, very cool! It looks like the floors were installed at the same time. They look great! very pleased with the work. TJ also installed some interior doors in our room addition, as well as some trim work. I would hire TJ again!!
