The Indiana State Pipe Trades Association is proud of the role we play in providing good jobs and a secure future for our members. These good jobs pay a living wage that supports families, pays taxes and contributes to a strong economy. Because we ensure our members receive both health care and a secure retirement our members are able to contribute more to our communities rather than drain the available resources.

We develop our workforce with superior training and skill development, providing both a higher quality service for contractors and consumers along with a level of skills that non-union workers cannot match. We work to ensure that our industry continues to prosper by protecting the rights of our members and providing employers with a highly skilled workforce.

Raising safety and training standards in the piping industry to ensure superior work for the welfare of the general public. Providing workers a voice in the workplace, which in turn allows them to earn higher wages and substantial health and retirement benefits.
Services
Through union apprenticeship programs, individuals gain life-changing skills to do high quality work and get solid, middle-class jobs - often in new industries with cutting edge green technology.

By partnering with employers who are willing to work together to share the benefits as well as the costs, we spearhead collaborations that lead to improved job satisfaction for workers, high productivity for employers and a top notch, skilled workforce that ensures the quality and innovation essential for competing in a global economy.
The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the United Association. Our service techs are at the forefront of the industry. A service technician's work covers the general responsibilities for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR).
The Steamfitter-Pipefitter is a tradesperson with the knowledge and ability to layout, fabricate, assemble, install, maintain, and repair piping systems that transport all types of fluids, slurries and gas in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. They are the only trade to specialize in planning, design, and installation of low- and high-pressure steam systems.
As a veteran of the U.S. Military, you have served your country well, providing security for all Americans. The United Association of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union (UA) wants to give back to those who have given so much. Returning Veterans have at times had difficulty finding good jobs. Therefore, the UA has created a program called Veterans In Piping (UA VIP).
Union Organizers are a union representative who "organizes" or unionizes non-union workers, companies, or worksites, or provides opportunities for non-union workers who would like to join in working for the union.
