North Side Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc. has been doing business in the Fort Wayne community for over 85 years. In 1929, John R. Hartman and his wife Mildred started North Side Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc. conducting business from their kitchen table. The Great Depression soon followed and North Side Plumbing was able to survive hard times and gas rationing as John R. traveled by street car every morning with the tools of his trade.
The plumber arrived promptly and told us what the issue was and that it did not necessarily need to be replaced and discussed our options. We own a dog, and we had the technician close the door to the basement while he worked and knock on the door if he needed to come up to get equipment from his truck so we could take the dog outside - he was very pleasant about this.

Very grateful for our experience with North Side - called for a clog issue affecting our half bath, and they were able to get someone out to us within a couple days. Due to the nature of the problem, two of their employees (John & Leroy) came and worked on it and were able to get it fixed. Both were excellent at explaining the process and gave advice on preventing future issues. Would 10/10 recommend!

Where do I begin the experience with you was awesome first the staff was friendly respectful and communicative if I could say it that way. second the price was good and payment plan was awesome couldn't ask for better service. oh and they was also timely in coming out and getting the job done. thank you and I look forward to working with you again if I need to. I called today to have a technician look at my hot water heater. They were to my home within 10 minutes of calling. Within 2 hours of initial call, they replaced my hot water heater. They're pricing was very fair. They were prompt, professional, and all together provided great customer service. We will be using them for any future needs.

I have used North side several times now and always been happy with them. Most recently they came out for a custom tile shower that was leaking and about 20 years old. We ended up completely renovating the bathroom with the extent of the damage. We are extremely happy with their work. These are some of the most honest and genuine folks I've met and wonderful with follow up service. I will be contacting them for any issue I may have in the future.

Called on a Wednesday for sump pump problem, they initially said would be Thursday at the earliest, more likely Friday. Called back 5 minutes later, had a cancellation & could come right away. Showed, fixed the issue within 45 minutes. I've used Northside several times in the past and have always been pleased.

We could not be more pleased with the quality of service we received from Northside. They had to replace almost all of our drainage pipes and our home us on a slab. They were very careful not to damage anything. They even tunneled beside a built-in cupboard we had and tunneled under it to get to the pipe. They tunneled under the bathtub and under our hall. They were very friendly, professional, hard workers. They did not waste any time on the job. Even when they had to concrete the trenches after the new pipe was laid, they hand carried buckets into our home and scooped the concrete out by hand
