I designed it using Black Walnut, Clear Maple, Brazilian Cherry for the inner and outer bands and clear White Oak epoxied on my fiberglass backing. Here I came off the interior/exterior walls 6 courses to meet where the feature strips would begin. I fabricated the feature strips out of 1 piece of solid walnut inlaying the center oak strip.
Incorperating fans to the inside corners adds an elegant feel. Here we have a new installlation, sand and finishing of stair treads with the landing as well as the first floor foyer and neighboring areas. A satin finish was chosen to apply for the third and final coat to achieve the natural look. Using 3 1/4 white oak material and appying the proper pigment can transform an area to fit formal intentions with an artistic flair.
Custom border work and field including Clear Red Oak along with Brazilian Cherry designed to accentuate the built in cabinets as well as the neighboring fireplace. This gives designated areas a defined personality. The dining area was customized upon request to accomodate the rooms seating and center piece.
