Meet the Team Report

Glenn started Fort Collins Heating & Air in May of 1996. He carries on the family tradition and continues the legacy of Fort Collins Sheet Metal Company that he bought from his grandfather that had been around since 1934. Anthony transitioned out of the United States Marine Corps at the beginning of 2019 and is excited to be back at FCHA as our Assistant GM.

Matthew Otteman was dispatched to help diagnose a water heater leak and he was quickly able to identify that it wasn’t the water heater leaking but a pipe above it, saving us thousands. He was super quick, professional and even threw in a free drain cleaning of the floor drain. Great service all around!

I have worked with Fort Collins Heating and Air for ten years now. I have a number of rental properties where they service the AC and furnace yearly. They have also installed furnaces and AC systems for me. The techs are very professional and they show up on time. The office staff is also very professional as well as personable. At the recommendation of my father-in-law, we looked for a company that could install a ductless mini-split system for heating and cooling. Derek came out to our house and was very thorough in explaining our options and laying out an initial plan for where installation would go. He also helped us understand our financing options and answered all of our questions completely as well as explained there was a shortage at the time. He even made sure we could use an electrician through them as we did not have one of our own!

We recently had a mini split system installed in our home by Ft Collins Heating & AC. From the first phone call to the end of the installation, everyone we dealt with was very professional, courteous, and knowledge. The crew that did our install was extremely polite, and the install was completed in a timely manner. They didn't charge extra for moving one of the units when we changed our minds on the location after it was on the wall. Eight years ago, I had the good fortune to find Fort Collins Heating and Air Conditioning and updated my furnace and A/C with them. For a modest monthly charge, they schedule three already-paid-for visits per annum to ensure that my furnace and A/C are in topnotch condition. We took the leap and had a new furnace and A/C installed. Dave went through each part of the proposal to ensure I understood the differences and aspects for each section. Jordan led the team with installation and did a wonderful job. The installers were respectful of our home and worked very efficiently. They asked our preference for certain set up options and made sure we were happy with the install throughout the process. We hardly knew they were here. While I'm sure they're not the cheapest, they definitely exceeded my expectations in customer service.

We have used FCH&AC a couple of times and each time we were extremely satisfied. Recently we were made aware of a dangerous situation where our gas fired furnace was pumping exhaust directly into our basement. FCH@AC sent a technician (Dave) to repair the problem the same day. Dave could give a class on customer service as he was informative, extremely polite and respectful of our home. I would recommend FCH&AC to anyone without hesitation. Try to get Dave!

We needed to replace a 20 year old furnace and 17 year old air conditioner. Derek came out and took all the information and gave us a competitive bid. We chose to go with Fort Collins Heating and Air because of the bid and good reviews. The installers were Cody and Jason. Both were excellent and even though there were a couple challenges during install they resolved them with professionalism and a smile.

We were having trouble with our water heater and they sent out two different technicians who wanted to sell us a new one. It turns out the repair was trivially simple and was done in 10 mins by another company in town without ordering new parts. We also had them finish some duct work in our basement. That work never got fully completed and we had to do it ourselves. To top it off we got billed 2x the quoted price. When we called to complain we only got a 25% discount on the overage. The technicians were friendly but clearly motivated by profits. I would recommend finding a more ethical company

I recently got estimates from a half-dozen HVAC companies for the installation of a full ducted heat-pump system into an home that did not have it - a retrofit. Fort Collins Heating & Air Conditioning called me back within minutes of my submitting a quote request, and they came out the same morning - impressive. The guy who came out was dressed professionally and was notably friendly. However, his proposal was the only one that required two outdoor units and quite a bit of exterior hoses and wiring, which I had said I wanted to minimize. FCHAC came out after I did online due diligence for our Heating and Air Ducts Cleaning Service to our home. We moved into a new build in the Ridge at Harmony for about a year. We continued to smell dirt when our Heat or Air Blower came on.

Jen at Customer Service was very precise in her knowledge of their team of service professionals and set expectation along with a competitive price. Not the least expensive but most comprehensive for the identified service.

So far, I've just scheduled with them, but they were fast, open on Saturday plus they're going to check out my hot water heater and swamp cooler. They have a maintenance plan to save money and get the filter changed and swamp cooler on for summer. Which is great for me as a landlord. I was referred to FCHAC by another business who couldn't schedule me in. I left a message and go a call back ~a day later (not bad). I explained the problem and they scheduled me for a few days later, between 2-4p. My husband started texting me at 4:10, asking if they contacted me because they were a NO SHOW! I hadn't gotten a call and neither had he, despite the receptionist saying we'd get a text/call when the tech was on his way. I called FCHAC on my way home (~5:15p), wondering what happened and the receptionist was very short/curt with me, as if I'd inconvenienced
