UFM Designs
When it comes to custom designed wood as a medium, if you can imagine it, we can bring it to life. We love being your partners in design. I recently had UFM Designs custom build a piece of furniture, consisting of a base and bridge, to house a new 55 inch TV. I wanted to keep two book cases from my old set up.

Ryan did a beautiful job of matching the design of my exiting pieces. Matching an old stain was another challenge Ryan and his staff manage to pull off. UFM has made 2 Custom - built in Entertainment Centers for me, and they turned out Beautifully! They used High Quality sustainable woods, combined with Quality craftmanship which equaled the perfect pieces!

I highly recommend UFM. They have very quick turn around time. I was under heavy pressure to have one of my projects done and fully installed before New Year's day, and they totally delivered it all on time!. Great Designs, awesome furniture Ryan Hedgecock takes time with his customers to design a furniture piece to fit perfectly with their home.
Services
They took pride in having always supplying quality wood furniture to their friends and neighbors in the South Bay. In 2015, after 37 years in business, they decided to retire, but the need for the heirloom quality wood furniture they'd been selling didn't go away and their phone kept on ringing.
This gives you a direct link to some of the all wood furniture pieces you may be looking for from our site and the sites of our Approved Vendors. Once you're there, make sure you look around because all of my suppliers have much more available than what's seen in the Online "Showroom". Just jot down the company name and a model number or size and we'll get back to you with prices or your desired information.
We've been working with Rod's ever since my parents started The Unfinished Furniture business in the late 70's. And one thing about them, is through the years not a lot has changed. Sure, they've updated their styles a couple of times or switched over to full extension glides from nylon glides but the quality that they've always built with has remained a constant.
UFM Made Solid's relationship with Whitewood Furniture started when Ryan's mother, discovered the them sometime in the 1990's. They continue to be our only import company because of their longstanding eco-friendly practices abroad. Whitewood primarily uses solid parawood, better known among experts as "Malaysian Oak." Parawood is special because it has roughly the same hardness rating as Ash wood - the same wood with which baseball bats are made!
When Ryan's parents started UFM Made Solid in 1978, Whittier Furniture was their first vendor. Before anyone else really knew anything about the durability and beauty of Alder wood, they were using it for the majority of the pieces they built. Whittier Furniture is still family owned and is an Oregon based company that only uses farm raised and sustainably grown Alder and Pine woods.

Ryan was amazing to work with. So communicative, great ideas, and just a pleasure all around. The table is exactly what I wanted and then some. So happy to have found Ryan!

All of my experiences with UFM and the Hedgecock family have been five star. Besides offering top shelf customer service, high quality products, and professional finishing, they brought to the area a reputable furniture store that served the community honorably for decades.

Fantastic service, advice and guidance from Ryan and the entire Hedgecock clan with my unpainted furniture purchases. They possess a library of furniture stain knowledge. A glowing review.

I ordered a custom corner desk to be built by Rod's from standard pieces picked from a catalog. UFM wrote up the invoice and included a drawing with measurements. In summary I was promised a custom item in 8-12 weeks. It took them 13 weeks and two tries to deliver the wrong piece of furniture. I did eventually end up with a usable desk (although not to the specifications that I ordered) so that is worth one star. I don't know what went on between UFM and Rod's so I can't say who's to blame for the mistake. I do know that UFM should have checked the piece before they

I am surprised about the bad reviews for this place because we have had a great experience. A few years ago, we ordered some bar stools and a desk and printer table after renovating most of our downstairs. I don't actually remember how long they took, but they looked great. Then last year, my son needed a new dresser. Again, don't remember timing, but it looked great too. This summer we renovated our bedrooms and needed a bunch of new furniture. We ordered two bed sets and two dressers that came within 2 weeks (in fact, we weren't even finished with the remodel yet and they

I'm giving 2 stars because they were nice to deal with. I purchased a 4-section wall unit for a total of 20' - each section 5' long.

The only reason I went to this store was because I wanted my wall unit painted a specific color combination.

My unit ended costing $3,800 & change. This was for the 4 units, finishing and delivery/set up. Not exactly expensive but not exactly cheap either.

However, the cheap was in the quality and I would recommend, if you know how to paint, save the cost to have them refinish the item and do it yourself. I'm sure you can do just

We ordered a book case from this company at the end of August, and we were told it would take approximately 6-8 for it to be constructed and shipped from the factory to the store, where they would stain it and deliver it for us. I called 9 weeks after we placed the order to ask where we stood, and the company that constructs the furniture hadn't even begun building the piece yet (apparently, they were busy with a big furniture show). I told the woman I spoke with that we were counting on this arriving in time for the Holidays, and that it would have been nice if she had called us to at least

I am giving these folks a 2 because it took them two times and about 8 weeks to still NOT get the job done correctly. Ordered a customized Oak pantry door for about $400. Took about 4 weeks. Got it home; sanded, stained, finished it. Guess what ? They made the size incorrectly. Well made, but the guy did not interpret the measurements correctly. Called them and took it back. They were going to re-make it. Great.. Waited about another 4 weeks. Got it, measured it, sanded, staind and finished it. Noticed that the back side of the door was poorly cut and the workmanship was poor. Called them and all

This store is great! We wanted to update my daughters room and stay on a budget. They took there time with my wife and I, showed us lots of options. My wife was in contact with them several more times after that both in the store and email... always patient with all the questions. In the end it all came together at a very fair price and a great look!

I purchased a dresser from them three years ago. They estimated 10 weeks to receive it; they were going to stain and finish it for me.
After 11 weeks I called them to see when the piece would be finished, and they said they had just received it and would call me when it was done.
Three weeks later they were finished with it; I asked for free shipping because they couldn't deliver when it was promised and ended up getting a 10% off card on my next order (no expiration date).
The delivery guys seemed nice and the dresser itself is exactly what I wanted.

Last year I tried to get matching night
