Ellie was the only person who would actually give me a quote when I said I wanted to reupholster a sofa and two large chairs before donating them... every other company I contacted in the area just told me to throw them in the trash since the material was cheap and disintegrating. Ellie, on the other hand, gave me a quote, and then had me come over to look at her supply of remnant material to try to find enough cloth to do the job to save more on material costs. The fact that Ellie also arranged pick-up and drop-off of furniture was a huge logistics help, and in this case she had the reupholstered

I can't say enough about Ellie! She made my first reupholstery experience so easy and fun! I found Ellie here on Yelp; she was able to see me right away. The chair was my Dad's (40+ years!) who passed away in 2006.
I recently moved my mom to a new home and she was going to throw out the chair because it was VERY well loved. The fabric was so frayed on the arms and the seat was sunken in under the FLAT cushion. However, the chair has deep significance for me and holds so many happy memories I could not let it go!

When I decided to move this summer I knew I needed my couch and recliner reupholstered. I researched my area and found Ellie with Sofa Stop. She spent a lot of time with me going through all the possible fabric choices and calling the providers to see which ones were available. She worked very hard on that. When I decided on the fabric her workers came and picked up my furniture and it was done in 2 1/2 weeks. Both the couch and chair came out gorgeous and I couldn't be happier! I needed to have two chairs reupholstered, so I searched Yelp for recommendations. I received three quotes and Ellie from the Sofa Stop was one of the quotes that I received within a few hours of my request. Upon texting back and forth to get more specific information, I decided to go with her. Once my husband dropped the chairs off, the price was just a little more (understandable after seeing the actual chairs) and what was fine. I really wanted to move my living room couch into our great room, but the fabric was too light and its configuration didn't work in front of the tv. A re-configuration and re-upholstery seemed too complicated- I thought we'd have to buy a new sectional for thousands of dollars. Re-upholstered a king size bed in a beautiful blush velvet with buttons and we couldn't have been more impressed and happy with the craftsmanship and quality. Also had a cushion made for a 12-foot window bench in an eye-catching tweed fabric and it exceeded all of my expectations, we just love it! Ellie was so accommodating and easy to work with, made our experience a pleasure. With no doubt will be back for our next piece of furniture!

We have had 2 living room chairs reupholstered and the cushions for outdoor furniture by Sofa Stop. The owner Ellie is outstanding! She is knowledgeable, kind, patient (I think we brought almost every sample in her store to try out!), has a great eye for style and uses top notch craftsman for the work. Ellie came to our home to get an idea of what we were looking for...gave accurate estimates and provided lots of good suggestions.

I met The owner Ellie years ago and she made me the most fantastic slip covers for two leather chairs that our cats had made a mess of. Even today, 10 years later I love those slip covers and the quality of work is wonderful. They make custom sofa, slip covers and just about anything your imagination can think of. Don't go to some big box furniture shop; use a local business that cares and stands behind their work.

Ellie was so helpful with selecting fabrics to suit my aesthetic. Not only did she help me choose a fabric for my sofa but she also helped me select three other fabrics to make pillows which co-ordinated with my sofa. Ellie's team also reupholstered my two barstools. I was on a deadline to have it all delivered within two weeks as I had family visiting - and they managed to get it all done within that time frame. I am so grateful to have found Ellie as decorating can be a daunting task - but she really has so many samples to choose from and has that designer eye to help you narrow it down to something

As this is an owner operated business, the quality standard is very high. Ellie, the owner not only "knows her stuff" when it comes to sofas, armchairs, upholstery, but just as important, she has a very keen sense of design and interior decorating. She has a good sense of style and is able to decipher what styles you might like without even knowing you!
