TAZI Designs operates two companies: one in Morocco that is responsible for production; and the other in San Francisco that is responsible for distribution and client support. Our furniture is all about flexibility. You could have custom furniture pieces designed to adapt to your living space and individual style preferences.

What makes us different is that we offer a unique interpretation of the Moroccan craft and make exquisite products with a contemporary design sensibility. We also place greater emphasis on quality, style, and service. Our customers come to us from all around the world.

We are dedicated to serving interior design clients and architectural firms in the residential and hospitality industry (restaurants, hotels, private clubs, spa and wellness centers).TAZI Designs also collaborates with architectural design firms to deliver design services as well as custom pieces for their projects.
Services
There are many exquisite Moroccan and Moorish style architectural elements that can add beauty and function to the project. We offer custom woodwork for screen dividers, Masharabiyya, Arabesque wood carvings and Islamic wood carving. We also offer both custom and antique doors and panels. Our Moroccan mosaic zelij tile is made in the traditional way and is made to your specifications.
Mosaic is a form of decorative art in which small tiles or fragments of tile are used to create a pattern or picture. The process is known as "Zelij" in North Africa, also spelled zellig or "zilij". All of the Moroccan Mosaic Zelij is produced in the historic city of Fez. Our Moroccan mosaic artisan begins by hand-cutting the 4"x4" square piece of mosaic tile into the desired shape.
Moroccan light fixtures and Moorish style lighting can add an exquisite mood to any space. Tazi Designs shop in California offers a wide range of Moroccan lamps and lanterns, handcrafted Moorish lights, wall sconces and ceiling fixtures. All our Moroccan lighting fixtures are handmade and most are exclusive to Tazi Designs.
We offer a variety of Moroccan inspired wall sconces with a modern twist. Our wall lights, Mediterranean sconces and Moorish lamps are handcrafted in Morocco. We use primarily brass to construct our unique lights. We'd find our exquisite lighting in upscale hotels, spas, restaurants and beautiful residences throughout the United States and in many other countries around the world.
Tazi Designs offers standard Moroccan Lanterns and outdoor lighting at every budget as well as high end Moroccan lighting. Whether you are looking for a simple but exotic gift, or building, remodeling a home, incorporating Moorish architecture theme with high end Moroccan fixtures, Tazi Designs can help.

I fell in love with a light I saw while traveling in Dubai a few years ago and upon returning home in Marin, I tried to figure out how to buy and ship it from Dubai, but ran into too many obstacles. A friend referred me to Tazi Designs to try and find something similar. While there were many beautiful lights in their showroom that would have been great options, I happened to mention to the store manager how I came to find their store and she asked to see a photo of the light that inspired my search. She sent the photo to the designer and we decided to have them create a light based on the photos

Tazi is a real artist, his works are very unique, creative, with Middle East touch! We were looking for some unique furniture that people won’t see them at every store. Tazi was super patient with us and showed his entire showroom to me and my girlfriend. We purchased a daybed, brass ceiling light, leather ottoman, and wood table. We are so happy with his art work and have received many compliments from our friends in just a week.
Highly recommend Tazi design if you looking for something unique to create a different environment at your home.

We found many very unique and high quality products (coffee table, light fixtures, pillow, poufs, and mirror) with the help of Tazi and his team. They were all very helpful and easy to work with. I highly recommend this shop if you're looking for unique and modern Moroccan pieces.

I discovered Tazi Designs online but had previously heard of what a beautiful store they had in Sausalito. I am a designer and I was recently working with a client out of Texas. We were looking for a beautiful unique pendant light that would really offset the tone of our bathroom. After sourcing other lights nothing else compared. We decided to go ahead and purchase from them and the customer service I received was exceptional. They called me back in a timely manner and even sent me stock photos of the light. Fantastic customer service and happy with the product!! Beautiful!!

Tazi Designs has some of THE most beautiful furnishings and art work you will ever want to find. Tazi's sense of space, his incredible taste in furnishings, his charm and knowledge around everything Moroccan makes just speaking with him an experience in and of itself. The way the showroom is set up, makes you feel immediately that you are in Marrakesh or Fes and what a pleasure that is! It's somewhere where you will want to move into immediately and just stay. Creating a feel of the Medina and having the colors and textures of Morocco in your house makes it even more of a pleasure to

I love Tazi Designs! I can't thank Tazi enough for his dedication to making my home and surroundings beautiful through the years. I've moved 3x since I started collaborating with Tazi in 2011 and each space were transformed in the best way, in harmony with my lifestyle. The showroom in Hayes Valley was a treasure trove full of quality goods and of design inspo! I secretly wished for things I saw and touched there. When the day came for me to actually shop that wish list I did without hesitation nor regret. Tazi Designs' craftsmen made my ceilings pendants, table & floor lamps, large bespoke mirrors

TAZI DESIGNS is everything superb I had heard about from my many friends and colleagues who had bought either Chandelliers or Poufs or one of a kind Mirror and furnitures and I must admit I went there to pick up a Moroccan Tea Pot and precious tea glasses and got out with all of the above including my tea pot.Yes I have a mini Riad in our home and I owe it to Mr Tazi for his magnificent service, curtesy and miraculous finds. I highly recommend Tazi Designs, they are unsurpassed.Raquel B Prolman

Tazi Designs has some beautiful Moroccan lighting and home products. I took the afternoon off to go into the Sausalito store. They told me they would send me detailed estimates, but then nothing. It's been 3 weeks. Earlier I had enquired on their Instagram page - but no reply. Hmmm.

I love this shop. It brings me back to my travels in Morocco. They have a lovely assortment of handcrafted items from Morocco - very special. Hisham, the owner, is from Fez and Fez is an amazing city. I do not know why this shop has so many negative yelp reviews - this is why I don't trust Yelp. Hisham could not be more gracious, warm and helpful.

Literally every time I've tried to come here during business hours their doors are locked.

I have also contacted them online about ordering items and they responded once and then disappeared. I guess they don't need new business. It's too bad because their website really does have some beautiful items!

We love Tazi designs. Tazi was incredibly helpful. He assisted us in choosing beautiful panels to be used as pantry doors. We also purchased two lamps and a super cool rubber basket.

Tazi was incredibly patient and generous with his time.

Tazi Designs has an incredible selection of lanterns, furniture, rugs and accessories.

We will be back!

One star is way too much for this horrible company! Do not buy from here! I ordered an oversized moroccan pouf (42"x16") from them and within two months it ripped at the stitching. The company refused to replace the pouf and also refused to have it repaired. It was a complete waste of time and money. I think it's reasonable to expect an item to last longer than two months before it tears. Especially when spending $1,350.00. This company is not only rude, but they sell very poor quality items. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. I wish i did.

The woman's name is Marta. She gave me a quote on a very large pouf that they show in their online catalog. I asked her for a quote on the next size up. She said she'd get back to me with a quote. For several weeks, she didn't return my calls or emails. Once, she answered the phone, told me she hadn't forgotten me, and that she was waiting for a quote. She knew I was not a wholesaler.
Today, I finally reached the manager. First, he gave me a quote on the stuffed pouf. He told me they had just gotten the quote for me. When I asked how much the same pouf would cost unstuffed

One star is probably too much!
My husband and I went there today to buy new furniture for our home and the woman "working" there didn't bother to lift her head up to even acknowledge our presence. After we said hello, she barely lifted her head to mumble a hello. She continued to ignore us for the entire time we were there and didn't notice that we left. While they have nice (and over-priced) products, no one wants to shop at a store where customers are disrespected.

I was so excited to find this place online since it looked like they had the Moroccan theme I was looking for to furnish my new place.... my excitement only lasted until I walked through the door.

The "office manager," Sarah I think, was totally disinterested and rude. I was clearly very interested in buying and asked her several questions, but she would not even get up from her desk. She kept referring me to their website for more details. I explained that I had visited the website in advance and it was very basic, no options were listed. At that point she switched it to "

You already stepped out of your cube to go to Blue Bottle, so why rush back and maybe spill the ochre gold on your wrist -- unpleasant and wasteful. The nice folks at Tazi may let you sit at their little table outside if you ask nicely. Sip, savor, close your eyes and Linden morphs into a side street off the Jam'a al-Fnaa Square. The assortment of Moroccan lanterns and leather poufs are pleasant and eye-catching too.

Love this place!
This review is WAY over due.

Excellent, personal customer service with a heart. When we ordered our sofa we got the attention we needed and we were literally able to customize our entire piece from the frame measurements, cushion firmness and accent pillows. When the sofa was complete it would not fit around a tight turn in our entry way and the sofa was returned and reordered without a problem. I felt terrible and was heartbroken after such a long wait, but Tazi staff took care of us like no other shop ever has and we tell everyone we know about how great our experience was

I bought a lamp from Tazi a couple of years ago. It was too big and I returned it for another lamp. They were great! The selection is so amazing. I thought I was back in Morocco where I had visited last year!

(Morocco is the most amazing country in so many ways. The people are happy with their government now. Their form of Islam is very enlightened and wise. It was fun to travel in an Islamic country and feel safe and respected no matter who I was. We saw woman soldiers, and women Traffic police. The country is open and free and they LOVE Americans. If you ever feel the need to escape the city for a few minutes, duck into this shop tucked away on Linden. It's cheaper than a flight to Fez and you don't have to worry about getting any shots before you travel.

They offer truly beautiful Moroccan poufs, graphic tagines, stunning lanterns, antique doors, and everything else you'll need to convince anyone you spent the last year in Morocco procuring these treasures (you can order from the website, too).

Stop by Blue Bottle first, wander in with coffee in hand, and leave refreshed. Repeat as necessary.
