We had our carport done by another roofing company and we're not satisfied. When we decided to reroof our house we were pleased with West Oahu Roofing's estimate. Bernard provided us with detail information on the work to reroof our house. The workers were very professional and got the job done even with weather problems. We did have to call them back because we still had a problem around our chimney. They had to redo that section, but the problem was fixed with no additional charges. About a week later, Bernard came by to check if we had any other concerns. We had none. We are very pleased

If I could give zero stars that would be my rating. West Oahu was contracted to re-roof my garage and to replace a couple of fascia boards and a section of plywood that was rotted out. I had to remove my PV panels and asked Bernard if I needed to remove the hanger bolts. He said no that they'll work around it. When the job was done one of the workers asked me if I wanted to inspect the job. Luckily I did because I found they removed five bolts. When I asked the worker about the bolts he said he didn't know anything. I asked him who would put it back and he told me my solar guy would.

We are so fortunate to have chosen West Oahu Roofing to do our roof. They did a neighbor's roof and you could tell they were fast, efficient, and professional. And that is exactly what we experienced! We have a 1938 plantation cottage with the original wood shingles and a bunch of layers of shingles. I knew there would be a lot of repairs, so it was imperative to find a team who could do everything: rip off, conduct repairs and paint, and put down all new plywood, underlayment, and shingle. Easiest 5 star review I have ever written. From proposal to follow up to the finished product Craig, Bernard and the entire team did an amazing job and were extremely professional.
We had a rather large roofing project and needed new gutters. I received 6 proposals from various roofing companies. West Oahu was the only one that received strong recommendations from Yelp, distributors and roofing manufacturers.
Pricing was in line with other roofing companies, but when you consider they did not want to take short cuts (other companies did) they were actually priced below the competition.

Bernard gave us a good price to redo the roof on our Mililani home. His crew was on-time and ready to go at 8 am. They even brought their own port-a-toilet.
They dropped heavy plastic drop cloths around our perimeter to catch as much rubbish, nails, shingles, etc. that was flying off the roof. They hand-carried everything on the roof to the front of the garage to drop into the truck to haul away. Afterwards, they picked up whatever was visible on the ground, but I think it's reasonable they couldn't find 100% of the trash that fell to the ground. The job took a full day and the only

West Oahu Roofing replaced my entire 30 yr. old roof very efficiently and was quite reasonably priced (I had 5 different roofing contractors do estimates). The company president Bernard came down to do the initial estimate and handled & explained all the specific details of work that they'll do. His crew did a fine job in 2 days on my 2,700 square feet roof. An organized installation group and cleaned up around my home each day. Bernard followed up at the end of their project. A to Z no problems at all. A very happy satisfied family!

West Oahu Roofing did a fantastic job on my condo association (20+buildings). So much so that I hired them to reroof my Mililani home. A single story house at 2,300 square feet was done in two days. Craig did a great job explaining the materials and options. The install team was very professional and cleaned up the worksite. I highly recommend them for any roofing needs.

I don't like to give people bad reviews but I think everyone needs to know what happen to us and hopefully it hasn't happen to others customers. Our landlord hired this company to fix our roof. On Sept 5th one of there workers tried to STEAL MY NEPHEWS BIKE. Good thing we came home on time. When we pulled into our driveway we saw one of their trucks leaving with my nephews bike in the back of their truck. We told their foreman they need to bring the bike back cause we called the cops. So they brought it back and of course everyone played dumb saying they don't know who took it. So

Bernard did a great job - roof and gutters were done quickly, communicating with the tile supplier, no hassle about cost or payment. They came back for small details - rerouting the gutter so its next to a support beam, some nails sticking out on the underside of the roof - nobody argued with us about it, they just got it done. It was great, I wish all my contractors had so much aloha.

I am shocked that this roofing company has 5 star reviews because the work we experienced was shoddy beyond belief. The reason we had our roof redone in the first place was to fix an eve that was cracked and splitting from the house. At the end of the first day - they had sheeted over the area to be repaired without having repaired it! When questioned about the incomplete repair, the manager stated "oh, we are going to replace the rafter tails from the inside after the roof is on." That's like closing the hood on your lowered sports car and then trying to change the spark plugs from

Craig Blackwood and his crew provide excellent service. From the estimate to finishing the job everything was well done. In order to replace our roof the team first had to remove our solar panels and then replace them when the job was completed. All in all it took only three days and each day everything was cleaned up so you would never know we were having a new roof put on. Couldn't be more satisfied!

When I write a review, I give five stars if I am happy with everything and unhappy with nothing and that pretty much sums up this review. The workmanship was excellent and the bid, to my surprise, was slightly under what I was expecting.
I have another unit in need of repair and because of my satisfaction with West Oahu Roofing, I intend to have them take care of it for me. Hmm...maybe I shouldn't have tipped them that their price was lower than I expected :)

Estimation was quickly done by Mr. Blackwood around 9am and I got an email with his proposal around 430pm that day. The product I picked was a Certainteed Lankmark Pro. I will not discuss details about pricing, but compare to two other companies that are rated top on Yelp, there was a big gap difference from all 3 companies (let's just say there is a $3,000- $5,000 difference.)
The product Certainteed has a great warranty policy and these roofing companies must abide with the installation Certainteed require. That being said these 3 companies have practically the same standard craftsmanship

After David's Custom Roofing gave me the run around for over a month I went online in search of a better company. I requested a quote from West Oahu Roofing through their website. Within an hour I received a call from Bernard. I explained my situation and he was at my house the next day assessing my gutter and roofing issues. Two days later (during 4th of July weekend) him and his crew showed up to start the repairs! They also worked on the 4th of July, which I never expected.

Had WOR re-roof my house and install gutters at the same time. Very nice work and Randall was easy to work with. From the quote to install, it was seamless. I recommend WOR to all. BTW, I contacted a few other roofers for an estimate... they didn't even bother to come out to take a look. They did a phone "question and answer" session... other than that, nothing. Overall, I'm satisfied with the customer service and work.

I'm late with this review, but here goes. One day last year, a stranger driving around on my street handed me a business card for a roofing company I'd never heard of before. A few weeks later we had really strong gusts, and I was missing a few tiles as a result. I called a few places and never heard back from any of them.
