There isn't enough space to list the highlights from Giddens, so I'll keep it short.
From start to finish our process has been as smooth and flawless as one could ask for. Debbie our sales rep was/had been… absolutely amazing to work with. Dave, our construction manager, is more OCD than my wife and pointed out more stuff in our final walk through he wasn't happy with than we did(stuff that 99% of people wouldn't even notice) and the closing process was streamline.
Our house turned out better than we could have ever imagined. If you're looking to build in Austin.. I HIGHLY recommend Giddens

Poor construction Issues and little to no communication by general contractors after closing in order to resolve issues. We have two major issues currently going. First- We have been without a master shower for going on two weeks bc it is was installed improperly. The person fixing it never showed back up and we do not have a contact number since… it’s through Giddens Homes. Second- our roof is leaking in several areas. We had an inspection that showed several areas where there are holes because nails were not properly nailed during construction all over the roof. I expected better

We just purchased a Giddens Home and I must say I have never seen so many simple little corners cut. The home we purchased was used but is a more recent build. Every where I look I see poor design and cut corners. They do not put recessed lighting in, they did not put water at the second fridge location (external wall to boot). There are no gas… hook-ups for the dryer only electric, light switches placed at inconvenient locations (behind doors so you have to open the door and then close the door to turn the light on). There is no eye to detail what so ever. One last thing can builders please

After 20 years in the same home in Austin and retiring, Linda and I decided to make a change. Our retirement plans included traveling in a small motor home. Linda, with the help of her realtor sister, Sharon… Dillard, we started looking for somewhere to build so that we could have a motor home garage. They found Grand Mesa in Leander.
