Design Right Kitchens was founded by Gary Townsend, who is an award-winning designer, and has many years of experience as a Project Manager and installer. Arielle Vigilante is our in-house designer ready to customize your projects from kitchens and bathrooms to bars and built-ins.

Let us introduce you to the designers, Gary Townsend and Arielle Vigilante. Not only is Gary a kitchen designer, he is an avid chef, as well. He has over 20 years of experience drafting design and has been a contractor himself. Arielle has designed spaces from large to small, bathrooms to kitchens, home bars and more, These combined talents ensure master craftsmanship in the construction and useful designs that maximize space and utilization.
Our Wayne location serves residents in northern NJ, including Bergen County, Fairfield County, Essex County, and Passaic County. Ready to get started on your kitchen design and remodel? Gary Townsend ("The Kitchen Guy"), when he was based in Little Falls, took a down payment of $28,000 from our family back in 2015 and never delivered our kitchen cabinets. We took him to court and he declared bankruptcy. He might be good at his craft but not an honest person. He took our $28,000 and never delivered the kitchens nor made any attempt to reimburse us. He used our money on a gluten free restaurant business (which also tanked). DISHONEST. STAY AWAY!

We were referred to Gary at Design Right from a friend. My wife & I met with Gary at his showroom/office and things began to move quickly. He gave us good advice by making suggestions and getting the most out of our small space. This is the first time we ever re-did a kitchen so Gary's knowledge and tips were super helpful.
The cabinets arrived on time & all went well with installation.
Since the job was completed we have gotten more compliments on our kitchen than you could imagine, including by the different contractors working on the job. One of the carpenters even started taking pictures

We worked with Gary on our kitchen + bath renovation. We actually went through various designers and Gary was able to think outside the box and provided us the best design in our mind. Gary will listen to your requirements and figure out what it takes to make them possible, and hand hold you through the process. We are very satisfied with the final outcome of the project. It has been a year plus since the work and so far everything’s holding up.

Gary Townsend is the ultimate professional when it comes to kitchens. I have known Gary for a long time and when we finally decided to renovate our 1990’s kitchen he was my first call.

We gave Gary and Design Right Kitchens a nearly impossible task: transform our tiny NYC galley kitchen into a functional, user-friendly space. Gary came up with a beautiful and clever design that greatly surpassed our vision and expectations. The attention to detail, and Gary's personal attention to our project, was exceptional.
