Services
Our handyman services are usually billed at an hourly rate, as seen in the chart below. We do have a one hour minimum charge of $60. We can also quote on a PER JOB basis, which is what most of our customers prefer. We want to help you understand as best as possible, your total costs including labor and materials so you can plan your budget.

Doug installed a vent hood over my gas range. The installation was tricky since there had been a microwave in the space previously. He made sure that the exhaust vent above the vent hood was to code and had to make a trip to Home Depot to purchase the correct materials.

Doug was so responsive and professional. He went out of his way to go above and beyond to help me. My window unit broke and he responded extremely fast and made time to come out and help me the same day. This best experience I’ve ever had with a handyman. I don’t ever leave reviews but Doug is the guy who deserves it. I needed someone to help me with a leak I was having in my kitchen ceiling. It was a weekend and there was tons of traffic, Doug still came out to help me out. After a few hours we still hadn’t gotten to the bottom of the leak (I had several other people try to help me as well) and Doug wouldn’t charge me because he didn’t fix anything. I contacted Douglas about the install of a steel, storm door to replace an out dated aluminum door that was slowly being destroyed by my beloved pit bull mix. Bothered by the recent, stormy weather, he has been chewing on the aluminum frame. Douglas came by to survey the job and make sure we had all the proper materials for the job. He came on install day as scheduled and knocked it out of the park. He encountered a couple of obstacles but that didn't deter him. The finished product went well beyond my expectations. If you are looking for someone to just get the job done, this is not the guy for you. If you are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and doesn’t take shortcuts, Doug is definitely your guy! You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and it shows in his work. I had a somewhat unusual request to change out our RV sink and faucet and Doug did an amazing job. I will be looking forward to using his services again!

Doug is awesome. Called him about repairs on my wood fence & he did a great time. He was very quick in responding to my text and to come give an estimate and do the repairs. We needed a new back door hung and a doggy door installed in that new door. We called around, but we had difficulty finding someone willing to come out during COVID. Doug was so friendly and communicative. He came by the house and gave us a free quote and showed up exactly when he said he would to do the work. First, Doug responded to my call very quickly and he was able to fit us into his schedule the same day. He was very knowledgeable and did the job the correct way instead of taking short cuts. Doug at West Coast Repairs is the absolute best. We hired him to prepare our house to list it for sale. We did not have easy jobs or usual jobs. Doug came through like a champ. All the work was meticulous and done properly. He was in regular communication regarding scheduling, items needed or even just thoughts on how to approach a rather unusual issue we were having.

I called Doug for a semi-urgent drywall need in our investment property. He was busy but local and took time to come check out our situation to see if he could help - so nice! He offered some VERY helpful advice to my husband free of charge and also provided him with a half-used can of texturing spray that he didn't have need for to help my husband finish the job. My husband said Doug was "a stand-up guy - super nice" and we really appreciated his guidance! fixed a really bad door situation. He removed them and cleaned up well.
I thoroughly recommend his services. He charges more than some Handymen but is very experienced and worth the money!

Accidentally kicked some outdoor piping at my friend's new property, broke a pipe and had to turn off the whole house water. Doug was super responsive, and came and did a great job fixing the leak so my friend weren't stuck without water. Since then, I have hired Doug for other projects including installing a reverse osmosis system. Doug always does professional work, is timely, and lets me know if something is outside his wheel house. Highly recommend.

I called and emailed for a quote. We texted back and forth and said he would contact me, he was waiting on a cancelation or something. I kept chasing him for an appointment. Instead I called another handyman who actually had time for me instead of me waiting for him with my thumb up my @$$. Glad I did. The other handyman came the next day first thing to fix all of my fixing needs. Wouldn't rely on this company, communication is $h1t.

Doug at West Coast Repairs is a damn wizard. I've just moved back to San Diego and my apartment, while charming, had quite a few little issues, from window screens to closet doors.
