For $115, one of our technicians will complete a thorough examination and necessary cleaning of the components of your heater and air conditioner.

Matthew "Mat" Hudson, who has been working the HVAC field for well over a decade, is the main man behind the CSAC company. A dedicated husband, father, worker, and entrepreneur, he runs his business with integrity, and happy, comfortable customers on his mind. Jonathon "Jon" Hudson, is one of our Owner / service technicians taking care of all of your heating and air conditioning needs.
Mini-split systems are designed to ramp up and down based on your home's cooling needs, unlike a conventional A/C which is either on or off. This is how a mini-split can achieve such high-efficiency levels. Our technicians will work with you to find the best solution for each part of your home. We will help you make selections based on the structure, layout, and aesthetics of your home.

Our Air Conditioner stopped working yesterday. My husband called several people. One company said they weren't taking new customers. Others he left a return number Cold Snap was the only one that answered their phone and booked an appointment for the next day at 5 pm. Matt arrived promptly at 5 pm. He checked the thermostat first and then the air conditioner. He had the problem resolved within half an hour and it was fixed. If I could I would give them 10 stars. Matt was the most professional person we have ever had business with. Highly recommended!!!

Hired this company to test and recharge my AC system. I was not informed by thier field tech, that AC system NEEDED to be 100% charged; in order for system to operate correctly -- I Paid $430 to this field tech -- 1 hour later AC system started blowing warm air...(and still blowing warm air!) Also VERIFY the the r22 this company is using is the CORRECT refrigerant for your r22 AC system....

I have a old gas heater in my livingroom. Call and left messages to 3 different companies in town. No every called me back, cold snap call me back in couple of hr. easy to shedule appt in 1-2 day. came fixed my problem and very reasonable priced. next year the blower went out and jon came out the evaluate the problem. tried to find a new blower. ordered and call set up appt in 1-2 day..They have worked very hard keeping my old heater working and cant thank them enough for all they have done. Would recommend highly..

Had them come install a new AC unit after ours pooped out Last Summer. They were at our home promptly and did a good quick job of installing it. After a few hours thou we realized the Unit was coming on and off again quite frequently, and it was because they overfilled the "refrigerant". Called them up and they Came back right away even thou they were in the Middle of a Family Event. I felt bad but was so glad to have the $5,000 dollar unit I just purchased fixed promptly and now working correctly. Just recently thou "after a wet winter"I discovered they damaged one of the vent pipes from the furnace

I am so impressed with this company. This is a family-owned business and it's evident that they really care and stand out :). I called earlier today to see if they could come tomorrow. Daisy picked up and said she could have her team come within the next hour! Jon and Ruby came and were able to find the problem with the AC unit right away. All around great experience with CSAC today. We moved into our new house and the AC wouldn’t turn on. When I called the receptionist was friendly and scheduled us quickly. Matt was on time and had great customer service. Got the problem fixed for a very fair price and walked me through everything he did. We've had 4 other AC companies out to fix or maintain our AC over the last 4 years. You never know if someone is being legit about what they are telling you since they are the only ones to see the unit. And no company is perfect, but Cold Snap is pretty awesome. They are knowledgeable, their employees are professional and they communicate well (even after standing on your room in the hot sun for hours). It's a scary thing when your air conditioning goes out because it could be anything. You really don't know how much it's going to cost. It could be $100 or it could be $1000? So in this type of situation you need a company whose going to be honest with you. This is the second time we have used these guys and I've got to tell you they are stellar! I would give 1 star if it hadn't been for promptness getting to my home and also returning my call immediately. I take partial responsibility for my lack of knowledge in the HVAC field and it's pricing for paying way too much for 20 minutes of work. 210.00 dollars for a 3 dollar filter and 27 dollar thermostat. I should have done my research before hand but feel as though it could have came with a more fair price tag. 540.00 dollars an hour after parts is absolutely absurd if you go that route. Nice guy but crazy price

Our heating/air unit went out the week before Christmas. Everyone at Cold Snap was fast, efficient, super knowledgeable, and very friendly! We were worried about the entire process and financial situation, and they explained the details every step of the way making it a very easy process. I would recommend them over bickleys any day! Came within minutes of my calling the office on an emergency call from me as I was roasting. Knowledgeable, Efficient and friendly. Family run business. Got it running again quickly with today being 111 degrees here in Red Bluff.. When it started working Matt (owner of business) said with contentment and pride, now that is a great sound!! I thought so too.

110 degrees on a Saturday in Red Bluff and my A/C decides it is tired and no longer cooling the house!! Call call call and get voicemails saying "we are scheduling two weeks out". Um no thanks. Saw Cold Snap Air Conditioning and thought it was a catchy name. Called and spoke to Matt and then scheduled with Daisy. Boy what a find!! We noticed our AC wasn't working on a 100 plus degree day. Sweating indoors at 10 am on a Saturday was NOT a welcome way to start the weekend ... Especially, with 5 hot/grumpy kids --one being an infant-- in the house!
We have heard good things about Cold Snap and called. Thankfully, the technician (Matt) was in Redding. He advised us that he had other customers in front of us, and agreed to put us on the schedule.
He arrived a little over an hour later and quickly assessed the problem. He gave us an EXCELLENT price. We were so happy when it was a fraction of what we had expected to be quoted

Cold Snap was the third company to come out and diagnose our air conditioner. Their diagnosis was in direct conflict with both other companies. When we tried to discuss this with the tech, he was abrupt, rude and quick to get off the phone. Our home warranty was paying for the service so it was important to have the AC fixed then to avoid another service call fee. He also refused to fix an element related to the heating side (that also affected the cooling) because it was too hot outside. He told us to call back in the fall when it cooled down.
