We recently moved to Rogers Park and are lucky to have such company serving this and the surrounding areas. They have helped me install a water heater, HVAC/AC repair and periodic maintenance. Boris is extremely responsive and always reserves a day during the week for emergencies. In summary, they are very honest, responsive, professional and friendly. I highly recommend them--Last but not least, their fees are reasonable and fair!

Excellent experience with Boris and his crew installing SpacePak in my 100+ year old home. From the beginning, they were very responsive and knowledgeable. Once selected, Boris was in constant communication with me about scheduling and what to expect. The work was done on time and at a competitive price. I also appreciated how much work the crew put into keeping the house clean throughout. After installation, Boris diagnosed a small issue that would not have manifested itself for at least a few years and spent some extra time here making sure it was addressed. Very impressive and highly recommended

Next Step hvac is the best! Boris answered my texts/calls promptly, was honest, quickly fit me into his schedule, and immediately understood my home’s complicated hvac set up. Where others only wanted the easy parts of the job, Boris and Next Step wer happy to get creative and help us reduce the footprint of our prior boiler by moving and relocating pipes. Not only did he do what he said, he also removed other pipes and re-organized so the Boiler "looked Good" in our basement at no extra cost. They were on time, clean, quiet, and most importantly, they clearly enjoy what they do and take a sense of pride in what they deliver. I met Boris when he was working on the property next door. Turns out he had installed the Space Pak in my 120 yr old farmhouse a year prior to when I purchased the property.
Fast forward a year later when there was a sudden gas leak coming from the 30 year old boiler. After 2 contractors came out from my home warranty company and couldn't address the issue or the leak.... I called Boris. He was able to locate the issues within the boiler and installed essentially all new components in the unit at a fair price. It's now running like new, just in time for the chilly fall weather to hit

I am so pleased with Next Step. I called in the evening when many other companies were closed. I didn't expect to hear back so quickly. Boris listened to my situation and offered to stop by that same evening. He communicated by phone and by text which was helpful since I could send him pictures of the boiler that I thought needed repairs. Boris is fantastic. I had a difficult AC replacement (one company would not even do it) and Boris solved all the problems and a few more small ones that he did not charge me for. He has a better warranty than any other contractor I consulted and he came in about 1K under his estimate. He kept in touch with me on a daily basis and even took pictures to send me in another state. A pleasure to work with and best contractor experience I have ever had. I have asked my realtor to recommend him to all her clients.

Boris and his team are SpacePak AC experts! I tried other certified SpacePak technicians first, probably because none of these reviews specifically mention our type of system, and none of the other companies could figure out what was causing our issues. Boris precisely and accurately diagnosed the problem and fixed our system so quickly. I think all the reviews say this--it's true--please don't waste your time with anyone else, especially if you're having SpacePak-related problems. I wish we'd found him sooner ...

Our HVAC just stopped working. We called this company for the first time and they scheduled their visit right away. Arrived on time and within 15 mins they diagnosed the problem, let us know what it would cost, and ordered the part needed for it. They came back and made the repair. We rarely get great customer service, professionalism, and great price all from one place. I highly recommend them!

I have to admit that Boris was not my first call to fix our furnace, but I regret that now. After dealing with another company who diagnosed the problem but was slow in actually fixing it, I contacted Boris and explained the problem. Since I already knew what part needed to be replaced, he was able to pick it up and replace it within 24 hours.

Our office AC broke down, and after couple attempts with other HVAC service providers, we just couldnt solve the problem permanently, and the AC kept breaking down. Then we found out about Boris, and he was able to diagnose the correct cause and fix the root of the problem, and it has been 3 months since, we have absolutely no problems with the AC anymore. I recommend Boris and his team for all your HVAC issues, no matter how impossible they seem!

Our A/C finally bit the dust after almost 30 years and we decided to go ahead and replace our entire HVAC system. These guys are great, I always refer them to friends whenever they need HVAC help. I have them work on my office space, my rental property as well as my own house.
They have fair competitive pricing and do a quality job you can depend on for years to come!
They work on both newer and older units and will give you honest input on the life you may have left in your existing unit vs just having someone tell you buy a new unit even if you can get a few more years out of the old one.
Honesty and good work are hard to come by in this line of work, but these guys go above and beyond.

My air conditioner broke down on the hottest day this year, so I called for an estimate. Even though it was late and Boris was done working he stopped in to see what the problem was. Boris was very professional and was able to diagnose the problem immediately. He is very fair with pricing and did an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend this company
