Perry is very reliable and has saved us in both summer and winter HVAC crises. Our SpacePak AC system would freeze up after just a few hours of running and the typical fixes that other technicians suggested (basically, more refrigerant) had no effect. Perry evacuated the system, installed a freeze stat and new filter drier and the system finally started running well. We had even more, unrelated problems with the system (corroded circuit board, broken thermostat) and Perry always came out immediately to diagnose and fix the problem. He always checks up hours and days later too, which is very comforting

Perri-Aire has been taking care of the HVAC of my Wrigleyville 3-flat since they started business in 1987. This included maintaining the original boiler and steam heat, and then transitioning all 3 units to individually controlled gas forced air and air conditioning with all of the associated ductwork . Perri-Aire also installed radiant floor heating when the 1st floor was duplexed with the unfinished basement.
I have had an annual maintenance program in place with Perri-Aire since day-one. Per the contract, they performed the annual furnace clean and check and filter replacement in the late fall

I had a recent problem with my boiler. I called Perri Aire first as I'd used them many times in the past. Perry squeezed me in quickly and came within short notice. He was courteous, very thorough, explained my existing problem and got my heat back on in no time. He did a clean job for a very fair price. I've always found him trustworthy, skilled and very fair. I couldn't ask for a better HVAC provider.

Just had yet another great visit from Perry. Perry and Cathy rock! The great thing about these guys isn't just that they know their stuff, but that they will never sell you on something you don't need. I cannot recommend them higher. I will never use anyone else for heating or AC work. Good people. Great service. I like them. I trust them. End of story.

I have used Perri-Aire a couple times, and most recently my AC stopped working over this past warm weekend. They were able to come to my house the day I called them, and they were able to fix my AC fast and for a great price. My service technician was courteous and pleasant. I hope to not have problems with heat or AC soon, but if I do I will definitely be calling Perri-Aire.

I have used Perri-Aire for HVAC/cooler repair and maintenance for my restaurant for many years. After trying a few different "cheaper" options that ended up costing me more money in the long run, I know now who to call first.
The work is completed promptly, correctly and is fairly priced.
The staff pleasant and professional.
I've also used them for residential work to great satisfaction as well.

Not good at returning calls. It took about 5-7 calls over a couple weeks just to actually get an estimate scheduled. Then there was no follow up after the estimate visit. I had to reach out 1.5 weeks later, and never received the email information as promised. The lack of response and the estimate finally coming in at 3X the other quotes, leads me to think they were not interested. Company is a small, owner-run operation which is probably best suited for standard basic boiler/furnace work. Our hydronic radiant floor heat seemed a bit too much for them, as the pricing was more than 3X other

I’ve been using Perri-Aire for all my HVAC work since the 1980’s. The first instance was when our boiler just stopped working one evening on, of course, a very cold night outside. My wife and I looked up one of the larger HVAC companies in the phone book and they came out to check it out. They looked over our boiler, which was only about 10 years old at the time, and said there was really nothing that could be done to it and the smart thing to do would be to just install a new boiler, for about $2500.

After some time for evaluation of the results, I've finally decided to write this review. The results? Perri-Aire gets the job done RIGHT, the FIRST time. My furnace has been acting up the past few years. I tried another company (which shall remain nameless, but I'm sure you can figure out) twice prior to Perri-Aire, getting mixed results. The first time was good (see my other review), while the next time was poor. The problem with this other company is that the service is touch-and-go. Of course when the weather turned extremely cold, our furnace starting having issues. Based on some feedback from members of our homeowners association, we called Perri-Aire. They came out the same day we called, and fixed our problem. Very professional crew, a pleasure to work with and were reasonably priced (no pushing for more than what was required to fix the problem). If we ever have heat or water heater issues, we'll be sure to call them again. Highly recommended!

My furnace died at 4am on a Sunday and I called all the usual suspects. Everyone was will to come out, but no one would promise me they would have or be able to get the parts to fix it. Perri-Arie stood out among the crowd for a few reasons:
1) When I asked if they would have the part that I was 90% certain was the problem, they asked for the make/model/serial numbers of the furnace and the part and said they'd call back. 15 mins or so later they called back and were completely honest about that they couldn't get it until Monday morning.
2) After we setup an appt for Monday morning
