I had called them numerous times and nobody answers the phone. I finally drove there to see why nobody answered the phone and to see if they were still in business. They were but they don't answer phones apparently and when I asked about a job, the employee was a total a-hole and I just walked out. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

If you expect any kind of half way decent customer service, I would suggest trying some other glass company. I called to set up a shower door install, they took all my info and said they would call back in a couple day to set up someone to come out and measure the shower. 2 weeks later I had not heard back. I called them again and They took all my information again and again said someone would call in a couple day. Another 2 week past with no word. Then they showed up a week after that without calling. We were always happy with Truckee River Glass when we used them for our 3 home builds in Truckee but after trying to get them to come out and repair broken cranks and a fogged door I soon realized that unless you are spending a lot of money, don't expect any service. I waited to write this review but after two months of getting yanked along on a chain, no shows and numerous broken promises they finally told me today: "its a small job so you keep getting shoved to the bottom of the list but you are free to call some companies in Reno". They could have just said go away 2 months ago! DISAPPOINTED

Called to order a piece of glass to replace a broken window pane. Spoke with the owner and he told me it would be ready same-day. I ended up not being able to make it that day -- called and let them know. Went and picked it up the following day, and I was quickly on my way with a new piece of glass. Don't expect to be coddled by the staff, but they're responsive and charge reasonable prices.

Do NOT use!!!!!! HORRIBLE service!! I called and they told me they could come out and measure the broken window the next week. I called back after 6 days and they then told me it would be another 2-3 WEEKS before they could even give me a quote! I proceeded to tell the man on the phone that the first person I talked to said it would only be a week for someone to measure. He was insanely RUDE and said no one would ever give that timeline. Again HORRIBLE service!!!!! We will be taking our business elsewhere! Don't bother calling!!!

This company is very unresponsive. After two calls to request a quote, I went to a competitor. First call I was told someone would be out in a week, and after calling back 8 days later, I was told they did not know when they could come out. Acted as if I was wasting their time!

I have to agree with all the other reviews. Horrible customer service. We have been trying to get in touch with someone since the summer. We've left messages and when someone does answer the phone they say let me check in to it and get back to you and no one calls back.
We came in the summer, picked the door that we wanted and was told someone would go out and look at the job and let us know if its doable. We still have not gotten an answer as to whether or not they can do it.

Do not ever, I repeat DO NOT EVER waste your time at Truckee River Glass. I went to replace a sliding glass door for a client. After my client waited through missed appointments the door was finally delivered only to have the wrong frame. The correct frame was finally delivered and I arrived to discover the glass doors would open from the wrong side. A phone call went unanswered so I drove to the store. I was "greeted" by the most unhelpful person that I've ever come across. He first asked if I had contacted the manufacturer and I indicated my client purchased the slider from him. He accusingly

The business owner, Jake is abusive towards woman and customers.
We needed a quote on a broken skylight, and there was some confusion with Jake over when someone should come to do the estimate. Instead of handling the situation normally Jake began swearing at my wife. He dropped 2 F-bombs at her angrily while shouting at her.
She is 8 months pregnant!
She politely asked him to stop speaking to her this way and then he told her to F*ck Off.
I cannot believe that he would talk this way to anyone, especially my calm, caring, very pregnant wife.
He made her cry and she started having contractions

* No response to an 8 month warranty claim to replace a large double pane window, which has failed.
* Often does not answer phone.
* Does not respond to messages left to request a response.
* Claimed that he had problems finding any documentation regarding my order, because all paperwork was stored in boxes in his attic
* A visit 6 weeks ago to his new cluttered, messy and disorganized office solicited a false promise to get back with some response .

I rarely write reviews, especially bad ones, but I could not be more disappointed with my experiences as a customer. One year ago I contacted them for a window replacement that a neighbor child broke. Luckily it was the inner pane of a double window since it took them several months to come out and do the bid and then they did not bid it for replacement with a slider as I had requested.
Asked them to give me a bid for what I had asked. Multiple calls over the next 4 to 5 months did not result in the promised visit and bid. Not sure why but in the spring over 6 months from when I contacted them

Total waste of time. They came out to look at my windows and never returned my call or wrote an estimate. After 3 calls back to them following up, they said "oh, were not sure we want to do that job, its too difficult". 4 windows are too difficult? Think they may be in the wrong business. Im a local and deal with "mountain time" every day, even part of why i live here. These people are simply bad at business and incompetent. Save your time and call Royal Glass in Reno. Honest people and can get the job done.

We built a house recently and used Truckee River Glass for our windows. The prices were good, they beat the big box stores by about 5%. Other than that, this place was a disappointment. The customer service was terrible. It's the type of place that makes you feel like you should feel lucky they are taking their time to help you. There was a problem with our shipment that was going to cost us thousands in wasted labor and Truckee River Glass couldn't have cared less. There has to better places to spend 20K+. So much for spending my money locally!

Total ZERO. Have been waiting almost two months to get an estimate on a window replacement from Truckee River Glass. Called them at least 4 times. My first call was in early April, before the summer rush in Truckee. They have never called me back, and have never showed up despite promises to "get out next week", and "get to it when we can."

The worst customer service ever! I've never had a company make me feel like I'm unconvincing them by giving them work. Every time I call they are rude. The actual work comes out good , but not only does it take forever and you have to call repeatedly to find out if it's ready, but they will also make you feel like your bothering them the whole time. Sad that a local business can treat people this poorly and continue.
