A: Many common indicators of foundation problems are listed in the "Foundation Repair" page. However, the only way to be sure is to have one of our foundation estimators conduct an on site evaluation. If there is a foundation problem we can remedy, the estimator will provide a repair plan and price quote on site.
G A Coffing explained everything very well and they seemed to have the best plans. They used more support than the other people suggested. They did it in the amount of time they said, they were thorough, and we were still very satisfied with the results. When I called about the cracks in the walls and ceilings in my ten year old custom home, an appointment was scheduled for the following week at my request.

Gary is a wealth of information for foundation repair. He provided some key insights for one of our projects in East Austin that had an issue with the pier and beam foundation. I would highly recommend GA Coffing & Sons for foundation estimates and repairs. They were recommended to me by realtor friends who have had clients use them, and they were thorough, honest, and very informative. I was especially happy when David from GA Coffing told me I could fix my problem myself, and didn't charge me for the hour-long inspection and lesson in foundation maintenance. Thank you GA Coffing!

Never hire this company. I didn't do my homework and hired them. Their work is shoddy, their pricing is ridiculous, I am embarrassed to have paid them. I had to keep track of them every step of the way and they couldn't even redo their work professionally. Their solution to my foundation issue is not even going to last. Even the engineer said well you get what you pay for thinking I must have paid them a small amount, but I was a fool and paid them steep money for simply putting loose block on the ground under my house. At some point I'm going to have to have the whole thing redone by a real professional

The whole process from start to finish was a pleasure. The estimator was very professional, explained everything, and answered all my questions. The estimate was actually much lower than I expected it to be, which was a very pleasant surprise! Within a week a crew was at my house and soon my house was level again with the visible cracks closed up. I would recommend these guys for any foundation work -- they really know what they're doing.

I noticed some cracks in my drywall and slab and called a couple foundation leveling companies for a quote. Gary was among those who came by to give me an estimate. He gave me an estimate to fix exactly what was wrong, nothing more and nothing less. I got a quote from a different company and they wanted to jack up the entire house and do a lot of extra work at over 4x the price. Gary's quote was fair and there were no "extra" charges when he was finished.

I was slowly but surely gathering quotes for foundation repair over a period of about 30 days and all of them were outlandish and complicated. I could not believe it! I was surprised when Gary showed up, explained everything simply and was able to get the job done IN ONE WEEKEND for a price that I could handle! Will definitely use in the future (though hopefully I won't need to!)

We are buying an older home and wanted a professional with foundation experience to give us the final okay with our important purchase. We tried many larger firms to get an inspection but they were booked past our option expiration date. Luckily after calling Gary he was able to fit us in the very next day. Gary, was early to the home even after we moved up the appointment to accommodate our Realtor. He came prepared with his equipment and worked diligently. I really appreciated the prompt communication and being given the option of having only some some piers installed, rather than all that could have been done. Gary and his team were very professional. Quick to respond, communicated well through-out the project and easy to work with. The website said they have seen it all, and I believe they have. I thought my issue was a bit unique, but they did not hesitate and were quick to resolve it. I would highly recommend them.
