Chimney Sweepings & Inspections - Every year, regardless of use, you need to have your chimney inspected and swept.
According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), every chimney should be inspected at least once a year, and cleaned as needed. Not only can regular inspections alert you to damage and issues while they're still minor (like chimney leaks or cracked flue tiles), but they can also let you know when it's time for a cleaning.
An uncapped chimney can quickly become a favorite nesting spot for animals, birds, bees, and wasps, and while it may be an ideal spot for them, it's certainly not ideal for you and your family.
Not only can these little critters and creatures be noisy and destructive, but they can also make their way down into your home through the fireplace opening, or get stuck in the chimney and die - leaving you with an unpleasant odor and an unpleasant situation on your hands. Here at Alpine Chimney Sweeps, we specialize in the removal of pests, and can safely and effectively get and keep them out of your chimney.

When well-maintained, the chimney can be a beautiful part of the home. But like anything else, when it's dirty and unattractive, it can actually be more of an eye sore than a nice addition. Different types of staining require different cleaning methods, and because every chimney is different in terms of surface strength and condition, we don't have a one-size-fits-all approach to exterior chimney cleaning.
