Key Shack Locksmith. Great on time service. 2/3rds cheaper than Reed Brothers. We just started using them at the college where I work. Fast turn around time to complete work. We had locks re-keyed, duplicated, and a lock installed. Fast, friendly, great rates and honest inspection and quotes. Very responsive service; quick to return phone calls and was out at my place on short notice to re-key all of the external locks (he matched them as well). Pricing was very reasonable, in and out quickly, quality hardware and work. this was about 5 years ago after the purchase of my house.
I am now going to upgrade to a keyless system and will be doing that soon with them.....

Out of the blue my front door wouldn't open, couldn't get the key in. Finally managed to open the door but upon trying again and again it wouldn't work. Called Key Shack and they said before we come out try WD-40. It worked! What a fabulous business practice. Honesty rather than scamming me for business. I will definitely call the next time I have an issue.

I think Anthony is some kind of magic worker. When I phoned, Michelle, too, said the magic words: "Would it be convenient for someone to come this afternoon?" Then Anthony showed up *exactly* on time. I left him to fix not only the two locks I'd called about but one that I noticed was acting up when he got here, and I went off to do some work, but it seemed like as soon as I got settled he was calling up the stairs to say he was done! These locks are now working so well that you can almost hear them clicking their heels and bowing as they welcome you in.

This place is the BEST! We called Michelle late Thursday afternoon because our key was just not working in the front door lock - all from a telephone description of our lock, Michelle determined this was an "older than dirt" lock that was presently only manufactured by two key companies. It also came with a very hefty price tag to replace. Michelle gave us some hints to try to resurrect the old lock (involving WD-40) to no avail. Luckily, she was able to slide us into a canceled appointment on Friday afternoon. Joe came out and determined our front door only needed a new cylinder, so

We call The Key Shack to fix a panic bar on an exit door of our business. Michelle called me right away to go over the details of when they would come, what it would cost, etc. Great customer service. After the appointment, she called to let me know the final price and the details of the job. Not used to such great service! I highly recommend them. Reward local businesses that do the job right!!!

I needed 4 locks on 2 doors re-keyed. I called Wednesday afternoon, hoping to get them to come on Thursday. No problem - the tech would be there between 9 & noon. I received a call at 9:45 that he was on the way, and he arrived around 10. The job was done within 30 minutes. I was charged exactly what I was quoted on the phone, and he even fixed a problem with one deadbolt not fully engaging; I had no clue.
I highly recommend them - very pleasant people as an added bonus.

So you know how sometimes you get a key made and it just doesn't fit right. You start to jiggle, push, shove whatever. (Its not as fun as it sounds.) I've only had this happen to me a few times but never when I get my keys made here. A few years back a landlord introduced me to this place. She swore by it and now I do too. It's not the most convenient locksmith to me but once I get there I can usually just pull up in front where there is enough space for a few cars.
