I am giving a review strictly on their customer service since my home was not in their service area. They responded within 24 hours to my inquiry on home design for basement. Dorian was kind and super helpful by finding me alternate home design companies that serviced my area. If their customer service is indicator on how their actual home design service is, then you are in good hands.

Over the last two years, Chi Renovation has helped us transform our home. We have had two large projects managed and delivered by Chi. We gutted three bathrooms (primary, on suite, guest), refinished our kitchen cabinets, changed all the kitchen stone work, added a second island, removed a wall and re-tiled our front porch. Just completed a kitchen remodel with Chi Renovation and am very pleased with the results. The team was friendly, professional and worked hard to keep communication and schedules flowing throughout the pandemic. Mishneeta was calm, gracious and flexible, willing to work with my design ideas. Eric coordinated the construction team well and was skilled in assessing issues before I noticed them. I live in an underserved neighborhood of Chicago. South Shore, 60649, 7th and 5th Wards. An area struggling to bootstrap itself out of a food desert among other scarcities. I can see signs that it is finally turning around, but it's a slow climb.

Just finished renovating my guest bathroom with Chi Renovation and had a great experience. I worked with Tanya (designer) and Eric (project manager) and both were great. We had some hiccups due to COVID-related delays and I appreciated that both of them stayed on top of it. What I liked most was that when the one or two minor things went wrong Eric made it right before I could even mention it. We worked with CHI renovations on a major kitchen remodel and we are very happy with the result. To give you an idea of the scope of the project, we had to remove walls, reroute a main water line pipe, completely redo electrical, reroute HVAC, extending a ceiling, building an island, ... basically a complete gut and remodel. The whole process took about three months and the demo with remodeling taking roughly 1 and 1/2 months.

I originally found this company on Yelp and reached out based on their great reviews. I worked with Dorian who was responsive (which is hard to come by in this industry) and extremely helpful! We didn't end up working with Chi Reno & Design because it didn't make sense for our small project, but Dorian was quick to recommend a few other companies that he thought would be a good match. As someone who is navigating house projects without a contractor and working with one unresponsive company after another, it was refreshing to work with someone that actually follows up!

I left a voicemail in the morning and got a call back before it struck noon. I spoke with Dorian who was very helpful, nice, conversational and knew his stuff. They do more full renovations while I just need some tile laid, but he gave me a ball park number and still offered to come out and look at it. We worked with CHI Renovations on a gut kitchen remodel that was really complicated, to say the least. We relocated the HVAC system, did extensive electrical work, reconfigured the space completely, and much more. We had many challenges with our project, from an old house, to a hard deadline with a new baby arriving, and doing some of the design remotely - because of this, we are SO glad we went with CHI Renovations. Most expensive mistake and worst home repair work I have ever had to the tune of $240,000. The project is still unfinished after a year and the project coordinator , Ron Lifshitz ( I spose this is his title) just quit. He was essentially worthless , but somewhat better than the prior coordinator , Tom Tishby. Both kept just pushing me to start the next project so that they can collect money. They had no desire to finish any project or make sure the project was done to your specifications. It was so insulting. Every time you complained, they would claim it was your fault that your items were stolen

This was our first renovation and to say we were nervous after hearing stories from family and friends is an understatement. Our master bath was the original bath from 1956 and it showed. Lien our designer could sense our apprehension and walked us through every step of the consultation and design process and helped ease our anxiety. Ron, the PM and our contractor were very communicative and kept us informed of every step of the process. The finished product is beyond our expectations. I want to preface this by saying I did not use them for my kitchen remodel, but only because their specialty is gut rehabs and I'm just looking for a minor facelift. But their level of professionalism and service makes me wish I was doing more! Dorian responded to my inquiry almost immediately and when he realized that they weren't the best fit for me he went out of his way to email me names of other companies who would be better suited to my needs. Dorian gave me a call and heard my needs - even after the business had closed up for the day. Our project didn't end up being a good fit for Chi Renovation, but I was really impressed with the level of customer service I received even after Dorian knew we wouldn't be working together for this project. I would highly recommend them - great first impression.
