A pleasure to work with! I have not been an easy customer - calling every day with MANY questions - and James at Boris has been a delight. Before taking the job and any payment he came out to our location to be positive he could do the work (we are dealing with DOB and ConEd) with no complications. The company would not send anyone out to assess my issue, but told me that they would not be able to provide me a quote or a ballpark over the phone other than to say it would cost $250/hour for whatever needed to be done, plus materials. The issue likely involves a pretty invasive fix, cutting into walls etc. If they won't look at the problem and give me an idea of what they would need to do, why would I let them go in blind and later bill me for whatever they thought needed to be done? It's not unusual not to be given a quote over the phone, but they also won't come look at the problem before

I had a great experience with Boris Mechanical. I arrived at work on Sunday morning (February, 2015) to find an inch of water covering our floor. I called and a live person answered the phone. They were able to send a technician over in about an hour (pretty good for a Sunday!). The technician was very nice and efficient. The water had already covered a large area of our basement and was seeping out from underneath walls in multiple places. I shopped around and obtained several estimates for work we needed for our house plumbing.
