Witnessed this guy making obscene gestures and road raging. Making an "unplug it" and middle finger gesture to an electric car. Was a foot off someone's bumper
Very unprofessional. If you own an electric car you might not want to call.

It’s a busy time for Spa repair, but Dr. Spa got me scheduled, arrived on time and was a spa expert! He knows his stuff and has been in the business for a long time. He gave me a lot of helpful tips and I asked a lot of questions. Great service, great price and he was able to replace my heating coil without trying to sell me the whole assembly 😊

JJ returned my call about a problem I was having with my hot tub. He was able to help me fix it myself over the phone, without coming out and no service charge. I’ve always been a do-it-yourself person, but I now know I will call Dr. Spa for future problems that are above my “skill set.” I’ll gladly give him my business. Thanks for helping me, JJ.

On 12/23 we were pulling out of a gas station off of 23. A Dr. Spa van came flying up behind us from the road. The driver then proceeded to point both of his hands as if shooting a gun at the rear of our vehicle. My boyfriend flipped him off in response. The driver then continued to tailgate us as we turned onto the freeway.
We called the number on the side of the vehicle, and the driver answered. Extraordinarily unprofessional, and disturbing behavior from a grown man.

JJ came out during the promised time window, diagnosed issue and replaced our heater circuit board within an hour. We are now back up and running 100%! Fair price for labor and part, will be working with Dr. Spa in the future. Thanks again!

My dealings with "Dr. Spa" were pleasant overall he seemed like a "straight shooter" which I appreciate but in the end was not able to complete my service repair. I tried to work with him on scheduling and delivery of parts for over a month before finally going with another service provider. In the end his diagnoses was accuate but a heavy price to pay for a diagnosis. His prices are average for the industry, slightly higher than I ended up paying for the total repair. This is not an overall reflection of the associated business MI Backyard spa and hotubs, the store front associates were much better

This is in responce to the 1 star rating that was recieve by (Kevin). I was very thorough in the diagnostic testing of Kevins Spa. Both Amp draws(22.2Amps) and voltage testing (220 Volts) to his heater were the optimum reading for this Balboa system. tried to duplicate the problem but could not. as stated I stuck around to watch it for a bit and indeed the temp did rise a couple of drgrees. Full service call is $120.00 I reduced to $95.00 and told him if it fails I will return and waive the $45 trip. I did respond to his text but I was up north for 2 days. Dr. Spa has provided us with excellent and professional service. JJ our service technician taught us how to maintain our hot tub and to keep it running efficiently throughout the year. He fixed our hot tub, it's has been running perfectly ever since, and the price quoted was honored. I would highly recommend Dr. Spa to anyone needing service on their hot tub.

Dr. Spa to the rescue! Went to use our hot tub and it was ICE cold, called JJ and he instructed us on steps to take to prevent the tub from freezing, he came out the next day and viola! The tub was up and running again (happy kids!), his rates were reasonable and he was able to repair the existing motor (capacitor?), I was willing to spend the money for a new motor and he knew it but it's refreshing to do business with a service tech that's HONEST! Very disappointed with his service. The heater on my Cal Spa wasn’t working and after waiting a week for his calendar to open he looked at it and said everything was fine because while he was there the temperature did go up.
He then said well I didn’t really fix anything because nothing was wrong with it (the temperature did go up a couple of degrees while he was there) so he charged me his normal $90 service Call fee.
I allowed the hot tub to run all night and it still never got about 90 degrees. I then called and left a message followed by a couple of text messages.....he never replied

The heater on my Cal Spa went out (or at least wouldn't go past 90) and at first he was nice enough to try and walk me through a couple of things to try before actually coming out to my home (that I do appreciate).

However when none of those things worked I agreed to have him come out. When I got here he dove in and had his electrical testers and he told me that him heater was in fact working so we both stood there for 20 mins to make sure the temperature did in fact go up.
