Lee Collins, the owner of Collins & Sons Excavating has over 25 years of experience in all areas of the construction industry. Lee started his career as an operator at Piette Sand and Gravel at the age of 16. Over time his work ethic and reputation secured him a superintendent position in Florida overseeing construction on the I-4 corridor.
After its completion he returned to Massachusetts as an Operating Engineer for Local 4 working on public works projects such as the Central Artery, MWRA Aqueduct Tunnel and Blackstone gas fired power plant. As part of Local 4 he also worked with high visibility clients such as Harvard University, Brandeis University, MIT, Logan International Airport and Hanscom Air Force Base, all of which presented unique challenges.
With a strong desire for new challenges Lee founded Collins & Sons Excavating. The vision of Collins & Sons is to be the most sought-after company known for our ability to manage, execute and complete projects on time and budget. We will achieve these goals by developing friendships, accomplishing the impossible and treading lightly on our environment.
