We could not be happier with Derek, and our refinished floors. He is the best contractor we've ever worked with, and we've worked with many! First of all he was knowledgeable, and patient, helping us choose the look we wanted. He put down many samples of different stain colors, to ensure that we would be happy. He scheduled our job, started on time, worked long days, and even completed the job early. He took a dark stained, scratched beyond belief floor, and turned it into a natural raw toned beautiful floor. He is a perfectionist, and someone who does not cut corners. He takes pride in his work

We couldn’t be happier with the results of our floors! Derek was such a pleasure to work with. We were doing this long distance. Habitat Hardwood Flooring will exceed your greatest expectations! Derek stepped in and rescued me when the contractor I had previously hired to install engineered hardwood could not match the staircase treads to the flooring. I was in panic mode since the staircase is the focal point of my home! Thank goodness I found Derek! Giving 5 stars just seems like too few. Replace the word "Good" for Quality and Value with "GREAT!" Just completed our 2nd home project. The first, 3 months ago was a 25 year overdue oak floor refinish and repair. Simply unbelievable how great it looks now. Derek and Amanda are professionals that arrive when they say and are as concerned with quality as I am. Today, the kitchen, vinyl floor removal and wood install and finish project was finished. Matches house floors perfectly. I can imagine no hardwood floor project beyond their scope and expertise! THANKS! LOVE IT!

Habitat Flooring did an amazing job for us, transforming our home from a dull vinyl flooring to a vibrant real hickory floor. They are the contractor I wish we could get for every project. Habitat Hardwood Flooring did an wonderful job refinishing our hardwood floors. They are beautiful!! Thank you so much! Derek made a special effort to do the job by working from friday through thursday so not disrupt office hours and to get the job completed during a slow time in our office. He and Amanda took great effort to cover everything to reduce the mess from sanding and also great care in the clean up process. We have a huge bar with a wood top at Surfing Deer. It was stained dark with tons of layers of polyurethane from over the years. Derek came in and took it all the way down to the wood. We were thrilled to find out from him it was Brazilian walnut. He advised on a matte finish and we left it natural to show the beautiful wood. We are beyond delighted and completely recommend Derek with any project involving wood. He is so professional and easy to work with. Derek is a true artisan who excels in his craft.

Habitat Hardwood Flooring has done two different flooring jobs for us. The first job was to refinish our 25 year old hardwood floors. The floors look like they are new, and we could not be more pleased with the result. The second job was to install engineered laminate wood flooring in a bedroom and hallway. Once again, we were impressed with the results. Derek's and Amanda's attention to detail is what makes the difference in the finished product. We hired habitat flooring last year to refinish our homes old wood floors before we made plans to sell our house. I was super overwhelmed at the whole project. I thought we needed to fully replace our floors and it would all cost a tons of time and money. We got several bids and I couldn't of been more impressed with what habitat proposed. Derek finished the whole project within a few days and worked around our busy family schedule. We ended up not needing to fully redo our floors just give them a facelift.
