Here's why this company deserves it.
I'll be short and I attached pictures of proof.
Rethink claimed they did a perfect job.... but we didn't trust their word. So we went up on the roof ourselves and were HORRIFIED. We had a feeling that something was very very wrong and we were right.
1.they left unsealed holes on our roof.
2. They did not seal the roof properly and birds got under the actual roof. You can see bird feces accumulating next to the hole they left.
3. It appears they stepped on the ridge of

Sorry for the late review but I had to give my thank you to the kind young man who came to my home a few months ago to install our solar. I believe his name was Louis. My husband purchase solar and Mr. Louis and another young man came to install it. He was so nice and respectful with my dog. They left my property without leaving a mess. So kind and polite. In 2017 we had Rethink come out to give us a quote for solar panels and decided to go ahead with the project. Our 13 panels provide about 70% of all our power needed for our residence and barn. We figure the system will pay for itself with state and federal benefits and savings on our bills in less than 7 years. Last year we had four months where we paid nothing for supply on our bill.
The company completed the project in less than a week, were very clean and left no construction debris or damage. We are very happy that we made this decision as each month we are watching the savings from this

I received multiple quotes from different companies for solar installations. One was from Rethink Electric (Mike). After setting an appointment for a site visit, I reviewed my options more carefully and decided to cancel the in person visit. I emailed the company rep (Mike) with my reasoning that the return on investment would not be worth it at this time. His less than professional response was "Man, just tell me the truth". Are you kidding me? I was both surprised and insulted. If I do ever decide to move forward again, it certainly will not be with this company. Bad management

From the initial quote to the final installation, all done professionally and with the upmost respect to my home and property. I have never had a question go unanswered after the installation either often by the owner himself. I highly recommend ReThink electric for any of your solar needs. Rethink Electric installed a 22.4 kW system on my business. The process couldn't have been smoother. We first met with Rethink technical personnel to understand how we could benefit from a solar system. Everything was explained very well. They provided us with several alternatives along with the pros and cons, enabling us to make informed decisions. Since we were the first commercial solar system in our town, Rethink management met with city personnel to ensure that a net metering program would apply to our large system. Rethink was flexible throughout the process and met all targets.

Rethink Electric did an outstanding job on our project from the beginning starting with the site visit and survey, modeling the system with a number of different configurations, estimating system paybacks and finally the installation. They provided reasonable estimates for expected production that included factoring tree shading and so far their projections over the first 2 months are close to the energy that the system has generated. Due to the unorganized disposition of Rethink Electric, our solar implementation had serious issues. I will identify just three of the issues here--(1) due to the inability to manage paperwork such as proposals and invoices, the owner of Rethink Electric asked for several thousand additional dollars AFTER we had paid for our implementation in full. In fact, the owner of Rethink Electric personally visited our residence in order to accept final payment. We used the web site Energy Sage to get quotes for our solar panels, and that's how we found out about Rethink Electric. Their quote was detailed and fair, including a couple of different options, and their references were great, so it made it very easy to choose Rethink.
We're building with the Passive House standard in mind, which entails a lot of attention to air sealing, and Anthony, who had to deal with the conduit inside the house, was very good about working with me to make sure there were no air leaks around their installation components.

I had been watching solar prices for years, as the installed cost per kWh dropped year by year. Only recently has the payback on solar systems made sense, but the investment was always out of reach when I got quotes from mainstream solar companies. Mike Nicolosi and his team from Rethink Electric did a fantastic job on our new solar system. We have had the system now for about three months and we couldn't be happier. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Based on multiple bids, their pricing is competitive. The team did a great job all the way through the process - from upfront planning through installation and the submittal of the required paperwork both for ComEd (net-metering) and for the solar energy credits through the Illinois SREC program. These folks are pros. I highly recommend them.

Rethink Electric is passionate about solar and extremely knowledgeable. I like that Mike insists on the highest quality materials, while keeping his prices fair. Communication was excellent -- we were very well informed about the project. Install was done quickly, within the time promised and with respect for property and people living here.
