If an insurance company learns that prior home repairs were not performed by a licensed contractor prior to storm damage claim, your claim can be denied. Its called CWP, Close Without Payment. Beware of regular individuals working off of temporary occupational licenses. It does not mean the person is licensed to do the work or even knows what he's doing.
It simply means he's able to do business in the area. I have been using, All Around Handyman for the last several years on all of my properties.
