I reached out I got a hold of Justin who is super attentive on the front end, did the job, and less than a month later all of the asphalt had completely broken up. I have left several messages for the owner Justin Hines, without a single response. Here's a picture of the shotty work he did at my house in Rancho Santa Fe a few weeks after he completed the job. Justin came to meet in person as he evaluated our driveway, and his bid was very reasonable. He's personable, straight forward and was helpful as he explained various methods. He and his crew showed up as planned, were pleasant, very skilled, and did an awesome job. My husband (a contractor) said he has never seen such good work! They treated us as if we were their most important customer. We will surely recommend them.

The owner Justin and his crew arrived on time and ready to go. They did an amazing job of making the first impression of my home A+. The asphalt from the street had worn away and there was a channel of dirt, weeds and yuk. In addition, the cement sidewalk edge was not even. They came in and did an awesome job of cleaning out the channel and added asphalt back in-in a graduated way. In addition, they put a beautiful asphalt pad in the dirt area where my trash can come in and out.

I bought my property within the last year and immediately had a serious issue with an unpaved 2800 sq. ft. driveway that was heavily eroded and had nasty ruts against the street side. To illustrate, we had to fork out over $1500 worth of vehicle repairs in a single week for our own car and a family member's van when driving over the ruts was clearly the cause of the damage. Justin was not just great, he did not call back, my job was too small, but he did give me the run around first and make multiple "tentative" appointments, he wasted a lot of my time, and hopefully he will call YOU back after YOU have a problem with his work because I can tell he has pride in his work, just kidding, he will probably ignore you.

Justin and his team rock! We have a long +/- 3k sq foot driveway with a steep grade that was in desperate need of resurfacing. Justin's team got the job done in a timely and very cost-effective manner.

I had the task of procuring a paving contractor to take out and replace a client's driveway - not a small job by any means. I received several quotes but settled on Coastal Asphalt and highly recommend this company for several reasons: first, you meet with Justin the owner - not some company estimator that you won't see when the work begins; secondly, Justin goes the extra mile in making sure he is on the same page as you insofar as the scope of the work goes; finally, he takes pride in the finished product and before leaving the job makes an effort to see that the job met my expectations

He was prompt in returning calls/texts, which seems to be a rarity in construction, and was very reasonably priced. He was easy to work with, showed up on time, polite and did a great job. We had a small parking area (3 car lot) of approximately 750 sq ft. We got several bids from asphalt companies. Justin at Coastal was the only one who did not recommend tearing out the whole parking area and starting from scratch. He recommended repairing the problem area and then do seal coating. That saved us around $2,000-3,000 over the other companies. One company wouldn't do the job because the parking area is on a steep street. That was laughable! Not everyone lives on level ground. They claimed they could not get equipment up the street. Justin had no issues with our street

Where Do I start with these guys... one word, Great!!!!! I am a local liquor store owner in Pacific Beach and I was shopping around for different prices on sealing my parking lot, After shopping around for a little while I stumbled apon Coastal, not only have i heard great things about them, they beat every single estimate that I had received. I had 13000 square feet of asphalt to repair and seal at my home (yep, a big property!). I got 3 bids and Justin was not only the lowest, but absolutely the best in all ways - explaining the process, problem-solving out any questions I had, and doing the work as promised in a timely manner. He and is crew are respectful. He cares about his work - a far cry from some of these bigger companies who pound out the work and exit.

By far this is a great company that I have had the privilege to get to know, the owner of coastal asphalt and seal is honest and fair. I have read a lot of things about asphalt companies that will say they will do certain things in their bids. like instal 3 inches and only lay 2 inches and save on materials. In my opinion, most home owners don't understand about the asphalt paving or the seal coating process.
