Fireplace & Granite is a local Charlotte business, servicing the entire Charlotte and Columbia area. We install all types of fireplaces for homeowners as well as new home builders in the Charlotte and Columbia areas. Installing fireplaces led to installing granite fireplace surrounds which then naturally led to fabricating and installing granite countertops.
It is a natural stone quarried directly from the earth's crust, and every piece is unique. Every granite countertop can be considered a limited edition because there is a finite supply of granite in any given quarry. At Fireplace and Granite, we know from experience that homeowners want countertops that are resilient, practical, easy to maintain, and long-lasting.
Granite can weigh up to 18lbs per square foot. When you have a wide bar top or overhang, in most cases you will some type of reinforcement or support. Support - and strengthen your granite countertops helping you avoid potentially costly and dangerous breaks. Mounts on top of half walls to support extended countertop overhangs for breakfast bar style applications.
Like all natural stone, granite is a porous stone, therefore it absorbs so it can get stained. With other sealers offered in the market, homeowners have to apply rejuvenators and special cleaners at least once a year just to maintain some type of protection on their granite. Granite is a semi-porous material and needs to be protected and maintained.
Quartz has long been considered as Granite's alternate option. But the second position is no longer held. Thanks to its endless selections with consistent colors/patterns, high durability, and low maintenance, it is quickly overtaking Granite as the de-facto option for the countertop. Be it for saving some money or opting for a more interesting conversation piece, most homeowners has shifted the focus to engineered stone or Quartz.

My review is based on customer service and work services. Tracy was supposed to come and measure our kitchen, she ran into something so she couldn't come (understandable)... She send me a email with an estimate based on my own measurements... It was high! So I told her we would only do the granite and get the backslash done with someone else...
Just because we didn't get all the add-ons she wanted to sell us, she stopped contacting us and never again got in touch with us...
So I went and got then done with someone else for half the price.

Nice showroom and selection. We came prepared with measurements and our current fireplace information as we wanted to get started as quickly as possible. After an awkward greeting and the staff trying to decide who was going to help us, I filled out the necessary paperwork and was told someone would get in touch with us to go over the quote the next day. After 4 days, I sent a follow up email again giving the requested information and asking when we would get a quote back for the scope of work. That was exactly a month ago and we never heard back. Found another company in the meantime that was

Just W-O-W........amazing experience from start to finish. Amy & Ed brought my idea to life & we are beyond thrilled. ❤ Absolutely stellar customer service from anyone that we had contact with. We recently had quartz kitchen countertops installed and are very pleased! The staff are wonderful and did an excellent job from helping us with our selection of quartz and sink to measurement and template, installation and cleanup. Fireplace & Granite has an excellent team that is professional, hard working and caring. Highly recommend checking them out. We couldn't be happier!

This is an excellent, fair company that deserves your business. We sought a quote for cutting down an existing piece of granite when we bought our new home. Our salesperson, Amy, was very responsive and was able to quote us just with pictures of the piece. When I put down a deposit I was immediately contacted by scheduling, and they were very flexible with working around what was best for us based on the construction we were doing. The technicians who came out to our house arrived several hours early, even after we confirmed the time, which did take some finagling. But, the tear out and install

I found this store on Google, while searching for fireplaces and countertops. Took the 40 minute drive to look at merchandise, but well worth the drive.
I was able to view the products of interest, and gain insightful information.
The people who helped me, Michele and Travis were very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Both took time to explain their products, in detail, which I needed.
Again, definitely worth my drive.

We use Fireplace & Granite for all our solid surface needs in the multi family whether it be a unit renovation, clubhouse or amenity upgrade, and have to say they are the best of the best. Starting with their sales team which is always willing to go the extra mile to the installers which in my opinion are the best there is. They are clean, professional and leave a product you don't mind standing behind.
