Mitch came highly recommended to us by our friends who have all used his services. He's so friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. His prices are extremely fair. He doesn't have all these extra designers and project managers and phone operators on his payroll, so he is able to have extremely competitive prices as opposed to all those other places who up-charge in order to pay all of the employees. 4 years ago, we did a bath remodel, ceiling removal, and finally got rid of those horrid drapes, left by the previous owners.
Mitch responded, where others (typical for the Bay Area) didn't. He made a couple of trips out, arms full of samples, detailed explanation of every product. We ended up with Hunter Douglas day/night shades in the master bedroom, an assortment of other brands/styles in family room, kitchen.
Very reasonable pricing, especially considering Mitch's time for multiple trips & installation. Which, BTW, 3 room were completed, in 3 hours.

So happy we found Mitch with Better Blinds! He is friendly, patient (I never felt rushed and I can take awhile to make decisions), and helpful (gave us several options and offered great solutions). We hired Mitch to install blindes in our house. It was the best decision we made. He is so professional and he patiently spent time with us when we were unable to decide whether we wanted to go with white blindes or not. He was very confident that white blinds will be the best suited to our house. He was right. We are now enjoying our house with great ventation as he mentioned. He is so passionate in what he does. You can hire him and just forget about the job, he will take care of everything from installation to Removal of old blinds, dust, etc. I highly recommend him.

We were very pleased with the experience we had with Mitch. He was patient, helpful and personable during the process of selecting our shutters and blinds. And having him in our home during the installation process was great - we have two small children and Mitch worked around our schedule for naps and was easy to have around. I gave Mitch Pool of Better Blinds FIVE STARS two years ago when he helped me to pick out and install the shades for my new townhouse. I'm giving him FIVE STARS again for outstanding customer service. I had a problem with one of the cords on a shade and called Mitch. He was in the neighborhood and came out that afternoon to pick up my shade and send it back to the manufacturer for repair. When it came back, he came out the next day and reinstalled it. Unprofessional as far as not returning my phone calls on a timely manner. He did a decent job at installing shutters, but He dragged mud & dirt onto my carpet when he came in to do the installation.

Very unprofessional company. I take time off work for a scheduled consultation with these guys and they never show up or call to apologize. I'll take my money elsewhere.

This review is way overdue as I had my blinds installed September 2012. Mitch came over to give me a free quote and was very professional in all his work. Explained everything to me very clearly and gave me lots of choices to choose from. I have a very obscure looking large window which is sort of in the shape of a trapezoid (hard to explain). Mitch was able to get me blinds to cover every part of that window which helps a lot in keeping my house cool and eliminating the blinding sun in the mornings.

Had to get the blinds adjusted once and Mitch was happy to come over and do it. Highly recommend

Mitch was very helpful and seemed great in the consultation, helping me to find the right products for my windows and not pushy at all. I was grateful for this after a very "hard-sell" sales experience with Danmer.

However, he said he would email me the prices that day, and then weeks passed (even with my contacting him to remind him). He finally emailed me a total price instead of the itemized list that I asked for. More weeks and emails passed before I got what I asked for. The only reason I didn't find someone else sooner was I had invested so much time at the consultation

After reading the other great reviews we decided to give Better Blinds a call. Mitch, the owner, is very friendly and was patient with us since it took a couple appointments for us to decide what we wanted. Because he doesn't have a showroom, he'll bring all his samples to your home so you don't have to guess how it will look. Once our coverings arrived, we scheduled a time that worked for us to do the installation. The process took a bit more time than we hoped but we're very happy with the end results. We recommend calling him before you make any buying decision.

Mitch is a super friendly, knowledgable guy. His prices are reasonable and he gets the job done quickly and gets it done right. He installed blinds for my kitchen window and two sliding glass doors. total came out to just over $400, including labor. I'm not a blinds expert but from my research, his prices were cheapest.

I'd definitely use him again for future windows/blinds needs.
