Ross has unusual integrity and I'd recommend him to anyone. He has a pleasant demeanor and works quickly and thoroughly. He was honest that my chimney didn't need cleaning, but showed me that I had a bad downdraft. It turns out my steel liner isn't insulated (poor installation), so that explains the downdraft. I wish he had installed it instead of the Lakewood company I bought my pricey stove from. He's the real deal.

The only contractor during our renovation that did everything as he promised. We struggled to find anyone (contractor or dealer) who would install a new fireplace that wasn’t sold by them in Breckenridge. Ross was great and so easy to work with - responsive and came as scheduled! I know who we will be calling if we ever need a repair!

I purchased my house not long ago and had some questions about my fire place. Ross came out and took a look at it and gave me an estimate. Cleaned it and showed me how to correctly operate it using the shutter stat and the heat trap door and when to burn it hot so my flue does not get build up inside and become a fire danger. after that he installed a fireplace in my shop for a way better price than what i had had previously quoted by some other company did it in a great timely manner and was super professional about no trash left behind showed up on time and was always professional. Wish I could join the bandwagon for recommendation, but my experience wasn't positive so I thought I should throw in a word of caution. Ross came for an inspection and cleaning, but said that my fireplace/stove wasn't installed legally and my chimney was in such disrepair that it would most likely fall apart if he tried to clean it. So instead he gave me his expert advice, and left with no fee other than a nominal tip for time/trip. It seemed like a wonderful deal and I was so glad I had called him. Problem being, after he left I was able to check a few things. I sorted my records and found the

I recommend Mountain Chimney for all your smoke stack needs. Owner Ross, will brush, clean, and vacuum out the soot, but also recommends, installs and repairs wood burning stoves. He took the time to advise me on code violations on my set-up and how to correct them.
You can also count on Ross to do the right neighborly thing. Despite the virus scare, he picked me up when I was walking into to town to retrieve my Jeep from the repair shop.
