We had a wonderful experience with Decks Unique getting a deck put in to attach to our semi in-ground pool. They came out for an estimate and emailed a very detailed quote with picture examples. The installation only took a few hours. The guys that did the install were very professional and did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend Decks Unique to anyone who is looking to get a deck done!

Yesterday we had our deck installed by Decks Unique. I had a good feeling about what we were going to be getting after we initially consulted with our salesman. He was great, and didn't try to oversell us. The deck was installed in ONE day! Demolition of the old deck only took a little over an hour.
When the building crew was beginning the basic deck layout, I asked to speak to the foreman..and they said speak to "Lou". As it turns out, he's the owner of the company. He was on site and making sure everything got started correctly, and was there most of the day. Very reassuring.

Thank you to Decks Unique for our wonderful new deck! From beginning to end, the process was great. Jason who came to our house to provide an estimate was knowledgeable and personable and worked with us to figure out design details and showed us every scenario with corresponding prices. He left the decision to us, but his input was invaluable.
Our build team arrived right on time and i have never seen a more efficient team of workers. My existing wood deck was down and carted away within an hour! The men worked hard and were meticulous - once it was all done (in one day to our great suprise!)

Our experience working with Decks Unique was top notch from the moment we got in contact with them up until the project was complete. Lou was incredibly helpful in taking our rough idea and providing a number of options that would work for our space. I would highly recommend Decks Unique! We had a great experience from start to finish. They made a beautiful 3D image of what the deck would look like, even including lighting. The project was done perfectly in less time than expected and looks exactly like the 3D image. They answered many questions and had patience with all of our decisions. Use them.

This will be a long review, so grab a snack & a drink...My wife & I decided that '19 was financially & finally the year 2replace our 30yr old wood deck. Boards/spindles were loose, also not up to the current code w/the spindles being 2far apart (grandfathered). I flipped thru local home magazines, & started to "cold call places", scheduling estimates. I ended w/a total of 7, w/Decks Unique being #6. I decided to get the 7th estimate, to solidify my decision.

We contacted at least six companies to get estimates for our new 450 square foot deck in Suffolk County and discovered that there was a lot of variability in pricing. It did not take us long to confirm that we wanted to use Ipe instead of a composite wood, despite the added costs in material and labor. Decks Unique seemed to have the most efficient, straightforward and cost effective construction strategy. Their estimate included everything necessary (including latticework and a replacement post for an overhanging roof), and communication about timing and details was good. The work was completed

When the workers finished our job we realized they scuffed/scratched our deck in a few areas. When brought to their attention they said "these things happen". Called Jason to tell them how unhappy I was about the marks. Someone finally came back with clorox wipes to get the scuffs out. The marks didn't come out.
Although it was only hours after the job was completed the foreman Unique sent argued with me that we must have made the marks. NO We did not. Had to contact AZEK & open a claim for marks Decks Unique made & did nothing about. NO WAY to treat a customer. Sloppy

I was very happy with Jason their sales person. He was very good. On time and showed us what he designed for us on his computer right there after measuring. He had a few folders of deck samples. Decks Unique built my deck in July 2016. From start to finish they were fantastic. Professional, quick and precise. The estimate given was about what I expected to pay. The work done was incredible. My family and neighbors came by to watch all saying the same thing; They never saw a group of guys do such fast, clean and beautiful work without cutting any corners. They came to my house the day of installation and got straight to work in 95 deg. weather. This is the way work should get done when a company is run the right way. Decks Unique is top notch.

After receiving 5 estimates from various deck companies in Nassau and Suffolk counties, we decided to work with Deck Unique. This was a huge project for us - approximately 2500 sq feet of deck so it was an expensive undertaking and we wanted to make sure we were making the right decision. We decided very last minute to have our front porch/deck redone right before the Christmas holidays. The whole project was signed,sealed and delivered in less than a week.It is beautiful and now I know what they mean about a house having curb appeal. It really made such difference in the look of our house - someone asked us if we redid our house. We can't be more pleased with our new trex deck. Had a beautiful Trex deck installed by them this week. Jason was my salesperson and he was very responsive. Very knowledgable of the product. As soon as I signed a contract we were ready to go. They started work the next week! Don was the project manager in the field and answered any questions I had. After waiting two weeks for an appt on a Saturday, I get a call from Kevin an hour before canceling our appt, Things come up so i planned on rebooking. He calls back and schedules to come that day at 4pm. I agree, 4pm comes, nobody shows up and I dont even get a call this time.
