We offer over 100 acres of nature nestled in the Pisgah National Forest just a few miles from Hot Springs NC. We are rustic, romantic and remote. Our Sundance cabin and our Stardance cabin are pet friendly and our acreage is a perfect place to spend time with your four legged friend.
There is plenty of hiking available including a short hike to a beautiful waterfall on our property. We have trails that link up with the Appalachian Trail offering you the possiblitiy of endless hiking. We also have a labyrinth for you to enjoy. Our romantic log cabins are perfect for your North Carolina Smoky mountains vacation or intimate weekend getaway accommodations.
They are also very suitable for a personal mountain retreat. All of our cozy cabins are well equipped, and include all the amenities that you need, like a nice comfortable bed, fireplace, Wifi, internet TV, washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen and your own private hot tub.

Services
We are Tom and Rebecca Gahagan and we are the owners. We live in paradise and we are happy that we can share this special place with you. Our property runs from the creek to the ridge and is surrounded by national forest, so the possibilities are endless. The cabins are well situated to offer much space and privacy.
Please be aware that most of these devices are based on a road system mapped in the 1930's. Although these might have been good roads in their day, some of these roads are now hiking trails or ATV trails at best. Please know that you do not have to go down any dirt roads to get here. Our drive is the only dirt road you need to drive on.
Just imagine sitting on the front porch of your romantic honeymoon cabin and rocking in your rocking chairs to the fresh bubbly sounds of the trout stream. A little later you might cook or grill a nice meal and serve it up on the porch overlooking the creek. After dinner, the hot tub awaits you on the front porch.
The Stardance is a great place to get away and enjoy the sounds of nature. You are welcome to bring your pet along. Imagine listening to the chirping of the tree frogs and the bubbling creek while you are rocking on the porch or soaking in the hot tub. This beautiful cabin sits up on the hill overlooking the frog and lily pond.
The Sundance is our most rustic and remote cabin. As a result, it makes the perfect retreat for your honeymoon, personal retreat, anniversary, or special day. You are also invited to bring along your pet if you like. Just give us a call. Because it sits on the edge of the forest with the hot tub out on a platform under the stars, it is a remarkable place to enjoy nature at its finest.

This is my go-to for a quiet, unplugged, simple living escape. (If you are addicted to your electronics and HAVE to be constantly connected to the outside world, this is not the place for you.) It is so serene and BEAUTIFUL--and the hosts are amazing. Everything you need to know is in a binder in your cabin. You never have to interact with another human being if you don't want to.On the property, there is hiking and there are waterfalls and a creek and fresh air abounds. AMAZING! Can't say enough about this amazing gem. Tom and Rebecca are great hosts and the property is magical. The Cabins are spacious, modern and very clean. There is everything you need and then some! The property has amazing features, there is skates a fresh pile of firewood for your own fire by your cabin, a cozy hot tub and views for days! Great location, near good hiking as well!

My husband and I absolutely loved our time at the Moondance cabin. The location was secluded and beautiful. The stream running near the cabin provided the most beautiful and soothing sound! We really enjoyed sitting on the porch, just watching the water flow. We also loved the hot tub for relaxing after our hikes. There are so many great places to explore nearby and Rebecca and Tom’s recommendations and directions allowed us to visit spots that we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Beautiful property; well tended to. The cabin was bright and clean unlike some mountain cabins I've experienced. The gurgling stream running by the cabins adds a peaceful background sound day and night. Owners are on site and very friendly. Great hiking on property or just a short drive away.

The cabin was super cozy, the hot tub was really relaxing, the waterfall was full of excitement and overflowing from the recent rain. The property is beautiful. Sacredly special with the freshest water I think I've ever tasted. Words cannot describe the view at Max Patch. You just have to go there and see it for yourself.

I have been there twice now!
The first time was a couples stay and was very romantic! We loved the hot tub on the porch for just the two of us. It was also nice to settle in after grilling a nice meal and watch a movie in the cabin, as I was surprised to find that all the premium channels were available.
The second time, I took my kids and we enjoyed the larger cabin! There was plenty to do in this the beautiful settings! We explored at the pond and hiked all over the place. I even took my kids to see the Mermaid lodge which was a charming and magical experience for them!
