Coastal Solar, a division of Coastal Constructors Inc. is a local family owned and operated company. Conceived in 1988 as a general contracting business we built homes and provided additions and upgrades throughout the coast. In 2007 Coastal Constructors INC. began offering quality solar installations in the Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, we loved it so much we became "Coastal Solar"!
Step one is our free site evaluation and estimate. When you go solar with Coastal Solar, our in-house design team creates a custom plan-set to best suit your energy needs. Your plans are then sent to the local authority having jurisdiction. Average turnover time, free of holds, is 2 weeks. As soon as your permit is issued we schedule your installation date.

Matt and his crew installed our solar panels a couple of weeks ago.
Firstly, Matt provided a good quote, along with aid in working with a terrific financing company.
The actual install was tricky, but the crew handled it like pros. They were polite, respectful of our property and installed all beautifully in less than stellar conditions.
Matt & Ian provided terrific follow-up, with a walk through of the system and the panels involved.
We are totally stoked to have the system in and in such a painless manner.

It's such a daunting task to chose a contractor to do any kind of work in your home. I am so pleased to have found Coastal Solar and relieved that I used them. They made the entire process very simple and walked me through it all, from having Edison come out to verify panel location to final sign off by the city. It was refreshing to work with such a great company with competent staff. The job was completed in a timely manner and their awesome guys were clean, polite and thoughtful. If you are in need of panel upgrade and/ or solar panels look no further!!

Jake and Kevin did a great job upgrading our panel, installing an additional sub panel and branch circuits. They did especially well running complicated and well placed (hidden and/or tightly tied) conduit stretches through and around our 1920 era house, taking ideas and giving good suggestions to improve the overall installation.

We love this company. They helped troubleshoot an old system that was installed years before we bought our house. Updated our system, got it up and running, helped us understand how it all works, and got us connected via the web to our system. Very affordable and really, great with people.
We will be saving a 2-300$ a month now. And we know they will be there if we ever need help.

These guys were very professional with the initial visit and went thru all the options and explained everything very well. Helped to get me in touch with financing and recommendations on equipment. Once the project was approved they came out and did everything they said they would. They even accommodated a side request to install a 240V in the garage so I could charge my EV car faster. Great job on the project and great people to talk to.

Matt and the crew came highly recommended from my father in law and they did not disappoint. I was dealing with another company for months that kept changing the quote and trying to get me to install a new roof, all of which was BS. That's when I called Matt and they came over the next day. Quoted me lower than the first companies original quote and the whole thing was completed the following weekend. I can't thank them enough. I highly highly recommend them.

Coastal Solar came to the rescue when our original installer went out of business. They removed our system so that we could re-roof our house. They worked in coordination with our roofer, so that the work went smoothly. They even fixed some problems from the 1st install. Matt was great to work with.He even added a switch so that we could run our house off the panels, if there was a blackout in our area. 5 star service all the way!

We are very happy with Coastal Solar; we had solar installed in 2013 & the company that installed it is defunct. We needed a new roof & wanted to keep our warranty with the solar manufacturer, they recommended Matt at Coastal Solar. Thank goodness they did because we weren't having any lucky finding someone that would remove the panels, store them … & reinstall them verifying the system was working. Matt was very professional and worked with our roofers and our schedules. We recommend him very highly & have already sent some clients to him. Thanks Matt to you and your crew

Just wanted to write that if you decide to “go solar”, talk to Matt at Coastal Solar. They not only provide great products but are very helpful in deciding the best location to get the best results. They also were good to work around our schedule when doing the installation. We could not be happier with the results.
